Would love to know the competition he plays. He's the most gifted player out there by a mile. One thing I like, is he finishes his tackles. This isn't some man v boy guy who just blows people up. He wraps up, he recognizes plays, and he looks to do his job, not just make a huge play.

Overall, it's way above average for HS. They play Woodberry Forrest where ND got Martini & Prosise. Also played Gilman, Bullis, Landon, Georgetown Prep & Richmond Collegiate.

Osi would be a star at IMG, Mater Dei or Bishop Gorman. Not that it matters but he is underrated, he should be a top 100 player.

Him, Litchfield and Colt on commit watch?

Both Osita and Ellison have said they'd like to make other visits prior to a decision. So, I'm not sure our expectations should be they commit this weekend. Litchfield is another story, he said he's ready. So let's hope that's for the good guys.

Are you guys talking about Providence Day School? That sounds like Episcopal's schedule (Ajavon's school).

Yep. My bad.

I had multiple thread open including Ajavon's in other tabs and had been commenting on them and apparently came up with the #1 Rover in America... Osi Ajavon.

Anyways, Providence Day School also plays an above average HS schedule but nowhere near as tough as Episcopal. The only team that would compare to the top of Episcopal's schedule is Charlotte Christian who they convincingly lost to twice. CC is QB'd by my former recruit crush, Garrett Shrader and had to be one of the top teams in the state.

You've got to stop these infatuations. It's not healthy. lol

So do you think he will go to ND if his brother doesn't get offered? I mean if we have to take both I'd do it.

Yes.

He's been interviewed about the subject and has said it won't make a difference. I suppose there could be some scenario where it was a toss-up between two schools and one of those had offered his brother, then it could have some effect.

Taking an official to Northwestern in June as well as a couple other schools. Most likely to commit shortly thereafter. Definitely wants to commit before his senior season.

Michael Clark, NC State Insider, with a CB to ND. Kevin Sinclair on the II Podcast said he thinks Ekwonu is the next to commit.

I noticed that Clark usually doesn't throw down a crystal ball until very close to when the recruit ends up committing.

While Clark is the NC State Insider, he previously spent 7 years covering all recruiting throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Georgia for Scout/247 as an Regional Analyst.

Yea Osita Ekwonu would be an amazing add to the LBer room. He's the number 1 realistically attainable talent of all the LBer prospects that ND has offered.

I've watched his film a few times now and I see a little bit of Ryan Shazier in his game. Ryan Shazier was running 4.4s in the 40 and I don't expect Osita to ever do that, but he does some things that Ryan would do so well: makes plays behind the LOS, tackle in space, and the ability to play in coverage. To go back on the speed thing, Osita isn't either and I wouldn't be surprised if he runs a 4.6 eventually.

Also, Alex Gleitman put in a CB for Notre Dame last night.

247 Timeline says his OV to Northwestern was this past weekend.

Brian Dohn just dropped a big CB for ND. He’s about as accurate as they come.

Rivals also confirming he was on Northwestern’s campus this past weekend. Hopefully a decision coming soon. Only other thing he’d be waiting for is to visit Ohio State which I pray doesn’t happen and he can hurry up and make a decision for the good guys.
