The real problem is the free deck he built for the Carrolls. Who builds a deck with overstocked kitchen spoons from Bed Bath & Beyond?

I hope he was up front about the need to oil them once per month. Lack of care can wreck a spoon deck.

We had one Quinn that turned out to be pretty good. No reason we can't have another.

Took an OV to VT last weekend. Is at PSU currently for an OV. And, will be at ND for his OV this weekend. I like that he's getting his OV's done early. Would think a commitment is shortly after he takes his OV's.

Rest easy fellas, this one is in the bag....

Help is on the way, ZEKE is picking up steam.

NaNa's ending spot isn't giving me the feeling I hoped for... But credit to Quinn, he has been really getting after it on the trail

Ran into Quinn at ND Bookstore after the spring game. Told good luck with his decision and said I hoped he would pick the good guys. He was at the bookstore for quite awhile and looking at everything.

Loy said he expects Carroll to announce his decision in the next few weeks. (247 Freebie)

https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/Article/Key-recruiting-visit-for-Irish-staff-on-Friday-117701849

With spring football in the books for Notre Dame, the Fighting Irish coaching staff hit the recruiting trail this week to see some of its top targets.

It’s really not a surprise that Quinn, during his first day out on the road, visited the 6-6, 295-pounder right away. Carroll is a huge priority for the Fighting Irish coaching staff, so showing him some love early this week makes compete sense.

Carroll, who holds offers from Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State, Alabama, Florida State, Wisconsin and many others, made his way to South Bend this past weekend for the annual Blue-Gold spring game. According to multiple sources, the trip went extremely well. I'm told that Carroll enjoyed getting around All-American offensive guard Quenton Nelson, who is expected to go in the Top 10 of Thursday night's NFL Draft. That time made quite the impression on him according to a source. He also had the chance to hangout with and talk to former Notre Dame and current Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph this weekend.

Regarding his recruitment, Carroll has narrowed his recruitment down to six finalists including Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and Minneosta. The Fighting Irish are the heavy favorite according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Carroll has been all over the country over the past few years. He has been to Notre Dame, Iowa State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio State, Michigan, Miami, Georgia, Clemson, Virginia Tech, USC, UCLA, Stanford and Penn State. It seems as though he is just about ready to make his commitment. As it stands now, Carroll is expected to announce a decision within the next few weeks and my pick, which has been on the Irish since June 28, 2017, remains firmly on Notre Dame.

In addition to my pick, there are other notable picks on the 247Sports Crystal Ball for Notre Dame from 247Sports National Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong, Irish Illustrated analyst Kevin Sinclair, Ohio State insider Alex Gleitmn, Penn State recruiting analyst Sean Fitz, Virginia Tech insider Matej Sis, and Minnesota analyst Kyle Goblirsch.

Per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Carroll is the No. 87 overall player in the country, No. 12 offensive tackle nationally and No. 1 prospect in Minnesota from the class of 2019.

During Eval Period, when they coach Quinn was in to see Quinn Carroll, doesn't that mean coach Quinn met with the high school coach of Quinn Carroll & maybe watched him work out? Or are they allowed to actually do face to face visits. I thought the face to face visits and in-home visits were limited to the Recruiting Period, not eval period. Just wanted to know
