thanks LL. what do see the position priority as?

Say Brendon Clark commits today as well. There isn’t much else that I’d consider a need, as of today. Needs would probably be 1 DE and 1 WR. After that, I think you’re just recruiting best available at OT, LB, DE, and RB. But in reality, you’d probably take an elite talent at any positions. But those seem to be the target positions.

Perfect world maybe it looks like:

Clark QB
Rouse OT
Turner/Sinclair LB
Bralen Trice DE
Cornelius Johnson WR

That leaves you at 21, with some space

Perfect guy to bring in next year and redshirt and bulk him up and then let him play. We don't lose really anyone at WR

I asked Driskell through the rivals board if he would switch to Safety, where he wanted to play initially, and he said ND has no intention of moving him from WR. I think this would actually alleviate some roster management issues where you could take 1 more WR in 2020, plus Will Nixon at corner who could move to WR potentially, where he plays now. ND is also in better shape for WR in 2020 than they are DBs, IMO. This would allow all the DB commits for 20 to focus solely on corner.

BK knows how to find hidden gems at WR... and now he's got one that is a physical anomaly. Give him his shot at WR for a year and a half and see how it goes.

They may have some interest after the end of this cycle... things change. That is why these flexible players are so valuable.

Agreed, which is why I'm fine with some patience evaluating the recruiting board as we haven't even gotten to fall camp yet.

Switched to CB this week. Got in the game on the last series or two for the defense. Kelly said they wanted to add more size to the CB position. Hart is 6’2 1/2 208lb. That’s a pretty big corner. Interested to see how this one turns out. Wonder how his hip flexibility and change of direction is as a CB.

That’s interesting...wasn’t he supposedly having a really good fall camp at WR?

More than anything he was just really impressive physically. Hart, similar to Wilkins and others the staff has recruited over the years was always thought, by some, to be a better DB/S prospect than WR. So, this shouldn't come as a surprise. Now, I'm a little surprised he's being moved to CB and not S but we'll see.

I agree. I would have thought safety would be better as well. Perhaps they don't see him cracking the two deep as a safety next year and this is trial run?

Yes yes you are correct. And now I recall watching his HS film that I thought safety would be his best spot.

His single mom, January Pridget, didn’t just put food on the table and nudge his dreams along growing up in Baltimore. She inspired, overcoming three brain aneurysms and a neck tumor, and now Hart plays for both of them, with all that resilience and drive percolating inside of him.

Another kid playing through things that I'll be rooting for.

So did Hart's high school coach who was quoted in Hansen's story today. But they moved him from safety to corner because he could cover like one, and he played his last two years at corner. Said his hips were very good. 6-3 corners are hard to find so this is promising.

It seems like they think he's the boundary corner of the future. Or at the very least, want to figure out if he can be that, ASAP.

His safety film in HS is pretty good. Also has said previously that h wanted to play defense so let him have at it.
