Drue was up to 225ish for his Freshman Season and I think the weight gain was lean muscle mass. Obviously not everyone can put on that kind of lean muscle mass in 6-8 months like Drue.

This is true but that's why I used per year. As it then plateaued and he's only put on 6 lbs. in the last 4 years. In most cases I'd always be cautious with weight gain, especially if trying to keep speed.

If he's a legit 6'2" and runs a 6.87, and has smarts and work ethic, we got a "Troy Pride" level steal.

IIRC, he was also a 3-star until the last month or so, when he rocketed up to a .95 rating.

My thought after watching his video was, we got a "Luke Kuechly" level steal

I think his impact will be somewhere between Greer Martini and Drue T. Very welcome addition to the roster.

I go back to his level of competition. If Kiser played at the highest level in California or Texas, we would easily be 4 star.

Kiser was clocked 4.6 40 time last summer training with TCBoost in Chicago
He was scheduled to attend Under Armor camp in Chicago Saturday before his Monday workout for ND. He decided to skip UA to rest for ND coaches. Had he gone to UA might've earned another star and everybody would be all googoo over four stars. Turns out that was a smart move as he blew ND away at workout.

I agree, looks like it definitely was a smart move.
Do you know if he’s going to do any camps this summer?

Which puts him squarely in Kuechly territory.

And Kiser will have Balis and co to get bigger stronger and faster

Agreed

Kiser is ranked first in his class academically carries 4.0
Hearing he may enroll at ND after Christmas
Thoughts? Good to go early?

For a kid that needs the extra time in the weight room and could use some more time learning the position, I say he should EE

If a kid can EE it should be required they do so.

It's a hard thing to talk a 17-year-old kid into missing their last semester, even if it is the best thing for them. No prom. No after-prom. No motel. No father following you to the motel. No police report. You know, the important things.

Prister reiterated on the II podcast he's not a fan of Kiser, does not like his quickness, level of competition, length and reckons he's not 6'2" but closer to 6'1"

I don't know when Prister became a talent evaluator, but I can't wait until he is proved wrong. He's quickly turning into my least favorite ND talking head.

I like Prister. I like that whole crew actually. But I hope he's wrong here.

Driskell is by far the biggest gas bag, IMO. Everything he says/does he turns the drama meter to full volume.
