It's hard to argue against JT from a statistical point of view with the numbers he's putting up... where he's putting them up at... and who he's putting them up against but it's no slam dunk he's a better college QB than Jurkovec.

I understand what you mean but Jurkovec has a lot to do in the sense of his throwing motion and really struggled at the rivals 5 star challenge. I am not putting much stock into that at all but that is him against the best of the best. JT is pretty much flawless anywhere he shows up and has tossed 89 TD's and 6 INTS in two years against arguably the best competition in America

Wasn't he held back a couple of years? He should be a Junior minimum, maybe even a Senior. I've heard from people here in OC that most are getting caught up in his extraordinary numbers, but his upside is not as high as others that have proceeded him from the area.

Thought it was just one year. He's a sophomore, but the age of juniors.

I really don't think Jurkovec's throwing motion is all that bad. He has a slight hitch, but he doesn't have that downward, rounded baseball motion many young QBs have.

While it's entirely possible we are seeing a future Drew Brees or the next Jake Browning in JT Daniels, it's also possible that other more physically talented guys pass him up down the road though. But I cannot stress enough how absolutely fantastic he is right now. He's as accurate as accurate as any NFL heavy you want to name... right now... every game. It's uncanny.

In regards to Phil. At this point he's right there with any dual threat QB in recent years. Is he perfect? No. That comes with the territory of DT-QB's. Anything is possible with the right coaching IF you have the feel for the position in a spread offense. Ask this former 3 Star who's doing arrite:

Did 8th grade twice. Smart move.

I think the only thing he has going against him is his size but as I said above to GB, There are small pocket QB's out there. Drew Brees has been proving the critics wrong for 2 decades. Jake Browning had a similar HS career and is doing it at UDub right now.

I'd say KJ Costello looked more impressive in person in a game against Blake Barnett no less. Jack Sears looked like Randall Cunningham when i saw him last year and I developed the same crush Loy has had for him. But nobody dropped dime after dime like JT Daniels... except for maybe Browning but he's from Folsom way up in NorCal so I didn't see him.

In some ways, JT is already there but if he continues to get better (somehow) the sky's the limit.

Notre Dame absolutely,” said Daniels, when asked who is sticking out. Michigan. Don’t have Stanford, but I love Stanford. But I’m really open to anywhere. Those are three that have popped out to me. Of course I love USC, UCLA, Cal. Big fan of SC. I’ll be at USC-UCLA this weekend.

“Especially with Stanford and Michigan, it’s the pro-style offense. Of course, it’s going to be a definite factor for me. Other than that, I’ve just been to all three schools [Notre Dame included] and I’ve felt good about those campuses. I haven’t put much thought at all about recruiting or college. Got a long way to go.”

if he was bigger and more physically developed he'd be maybe the best QB recruit that I can ever recall seeing. The production against top-shelf competition and his accuracy and efficiency are just unbelievable.

If he was 6'4, 210 with more velocity on his throws, he'd be the #1 QB recruit maybe ever. I don't think that's hyperbole. His accuracy is nutty and he doesn't throw interceptions. I'll take that combo over size, athleticism, and arm-strength all day every day.

I haven't seen him in any other gear besides ND or Mater Dei. Will be interesting to see if Polian and Long can finish what Sanford and Denbrock started.

Exactly, grown men questioning a recruits every move.

Do we know if he had American Eagle shamrock briefs on? That would be the deal sealer there IMO

We're just having fun with it bro.

If I were him, I'd be wearing these. UA has the ND green/gold combo down. Time for a season of green in my opinion. That would be... Devine.

Because the pic Blaise posted above are a close up of these hi-tops, which are most heinous.

ESPN.com free article linked below - "The next great QB prospect might just be J.T. Daniels"

The next great QB prospect might just be J.T. Daniels

"Talk persists in the recruiting community that Daniels might rate not only as the best quarterback in his class, but also as the top QB prospect in several years."

Calls his own plays, studies the game, exudes confidence, slays giants, etc. Not committing any time soon to anyone.
