Dean dancing with Liberace.... just threw up in my mouth. never saw that. totally dropping Dean down my list...

If it helps you, after the show he had a threesome with the girl next to Liberace and her twin sister.

Careful... don't get hashtagged.

sorry, different times man. i grew up in an italian neighborhood. they must have blacked that shit out on TV in my hood. I'm all about LBGT rights now, but it simply does not compute with my mems of Dean. shook my italian old school foundation...

If it helps you, after the show he had a threesome with the girl next to Liberace and her twin sister.

thanks for trying to help. all my hood playlists will never be the same. i'll hear piano in every Dean song.

We’ll see what he does on a football field, but he’s a cover guy. He’s done really well in 7 on 7 settings. Which a lot of folks think that where you judge corners.

Sounds like you don't like him as much.

What’s his ceiling?
I see a lot of similarities with him and current Notre Dame cornerback Troy Pride back when he was a recruit. He too needed to add weight, but was an exciting athlete. We’ve seen him develop under Lyght and become a high-level player for the Irish.

I think Rutherford can do the same. It took Pride some time to become the player he is now and I can see Rutherford ending up on the same track. When he gets where he needs to be physically, I think he has the tools to become a taller version of Pride with the talent to be a multi-year starter that can play the field or boundary corner.

It isn't everyday that ND gets a 6-2 CB with offers from Bama, LSU, OU & USC.

Here's his updated R&R's. Had no idea Rivals was that high on him. Impressive.

ND fans couldn't ask for a better CB tandem than Wallace & Rutherford. Well engineered. A+

R&R's - 10-13-18:
247 Comp: ... 4* ..... #22 CB ..... #191 OA ..... .9227 rating
247: ............. 4* ..... #23 CB ..... #216 OA ...... 91
Rivals: ........ 4* .... #9 CB ...... #83 OA ...... 5.9
ESPN: ........... 4* ..... #27 CB ........................... 80

Didn’t mean it to come across that way. Covering in 7 on 7 is quite difficult and he’s done pretty well in those settings. Obviously Rivals saw him that setting and think he a top 100 player. I think he’s got a chance to be really good.

Welcome to the family!

Kelly & his staff are putting together nice back to back defense recruits in this year's class and last years.

Just watched hi Junior year film again...ridiculous. Dude has some jets. Was curious why he doesn't return kicks. would be a serviceable RB with a little more weight on his frame. Would have to work on his pad level. Was also surprised how many teams tested him on the long ball...it's obvious that he could run with practically every WR he was up against. He is going to be a contributor for sure...IMO

Here we see the difference of game speed vs. timed speed.

Rutherford ran a 4.66 at The Opening finals in July.

Total rough estimate as to where the ranks of best DB classes in the nation would be. Even if I’m totally off I don’t think ND is any worse than a top 10 DB recruiting class for this cycle which is fantastic. I mean hats off to Todd Lyght and Terry Joseph. Absolutely killed it on the trail. If you are finishing in the top 10 in recruiting in your position group then you are adding championship talent to your roster. I think that’s an absolute check mark for ND this cycle.

His RB highlights are little reminiscent of Josh Adams. A little upright running style but when he gets a crease, he’s gone.

I know I have crow to eat for because I bashed Todd Lyght for his lack of recruiting but the last 2 classes have more than made up for it.

but ran a PR best 10.99 100m

Just for comparison, Pride was a 10.5 guy, and Lenzy 10.82.

Rutherford may not have the true long speed, but he will become a faster, more explosive athlete under Balis. As long as he plays with physicality and confidence, he’ll have a role on this team.

I’m actually curious how Rutherford compares to all of the corners we signed last season. Ranking based, he appears to be the highest, (I’m viewing Griffith as a safety in this scenario), but I’ll have to go over the film that I can find to form my answer.
