Could that stadium have been any more empty? Wow!

Not surprising to me. It's a HS game with no school team to root for. Wouldn't be surprised if the attendance was 1,500-2,000 with 95% being relatives and coaches.

Things trending towards UW with the same general theme. He wants to play S and post ND's in-home visit, it seems like that will win out.

And if that is true, I'm completely fine with Foskey and calling it a day. If he's not 100% on board with being a rover or potential LB, then he'd be a flight risk.

Watch Jimmy Lake leave on NSD . . . also it just gives Marist/JD a qucker path to a scholly and potentially increased numbers for 2020. Be gone ASA.

I wish the kid well and he's okay with eventually moving to LB. Love seeing great athletes at LB

I was curious how we were going to make the scholly numbers work if we signed him and Foskey anyways. I would have liked to have him, but the LB depth chart is getting pretty crowded already. Seems to make more sense for him to go to UW based on that and his safety aspirations.

Best of luck, Asa. I just feel bad that he has to deal with Ruth Robbins for 4 or so years now. God speed.

Not surprising, 247 in meltdown mode right now. It’s insane how awful that board is.

I'd love both, but Foskey is definitely the prospect I want more.

He is a very good player and would have been a nice addition. But with the crunch on scholarships i am ok with him going to UW. We have a very good group of linebackers.

I'm relieved. ND already has 144 big safety/possible rovers on the roster or on the way. No way they don't already have impact players (and impact depth) at the positions for the next 4 years. I'd rather divert some numbers to RB & WR and land a couple Theo Riddicks.

The only negative I can take away from him not picking ND is those UW turds will beat their chests thinking they beat out ND.

Whatever

If he's stuck on safety, he was never seeing the field at those positions anyways.

So we are back to when we had 144 cat LBs?

Would have been nice, but I am not really disappointed. As it has been said ND has a lot of Rover types and the #s don't make sense.

The only thing to come from this is a realization that the UW fan base is filled with a bunch of giant douchebags. Where there was once complete indifference on my behalf, there is now, uh, still indifference tainted with douche.

One Husky site is filled with them and that's the site's shtick. I frequent 2 Husky Alumni bars during season and they are easily the most laid back fans I've ever been around. Seattle people in general are pretty chill. Of course, I'm mostly dealing with the educated, well to do ones that have escaped the gloom and now live in Scottsdale or Orange Co.

Husky fans tend to be humble what with ten years of being the PAC's punching bag. And we can always bond over our shared Willingham PTSD.

Officially headed to Washington.

To put it succinctly, there was a very small chance he would ever play at safety for ND. There was a decent chance he could get significant PT as a hybrid LB. It sounds like he's set on playing safety, and if that's the case he's absolutely making the right decision going to Washington and was never going to work out at ND. More players should take their time like he did if they're not 100% sure on their decision... could've been an absolute waste of a spot ND simply doesn't have to waste.

Officially headed to Washington. I don’t know if there has ever been a more irrelevant recruit to get so many clicks.

It’s tough that the two All Star games held sway over his decision to pick Safety and Washington over Linebacker and Notre Dame. The Rover position is so different from an All American bowl’s linebacker position. I think at 6’4” 230lbs he could’ve been a tremendous Rover and I think his ceiling is higher than at Safety for Washington. Hats off to Washington for beating ND for the 10,000th time it seems in the last few cycles. Asa Turner is a good prospect btw and definitely not irrelevant. Army All American and Polynesian Bowl All American is a pretty damn good achievement out of high school.
