I just don't see him turning the corner in another year. He accounted for 0 catches on 5 targets the 2nd half of that game once Ok St tightened coverage, it wasn't until that last drive when they backed off that he picked one up. Styles had 4 catches on 5 targets that 2nd half, which is one reason why he was the highest graded player on offense...and he was a freshman! A senior WR can't disappear like that in a big bowl game, gotta be more consistent and step up. He's gotta work on getting separation more and winning the 1 on 1 battles. Hopefully the next WR coach can tap into his potential, but I just don't feel like Lenzy is the answer on offense. I think we need to see more of the hungry, young receivers.

I’m glad he is staying as he can be dynamic if used correctly. He is more of a gadget guy than a true WR IMO and should be used as such. He has one true elite talent and it’s his speed. Not that he can’t put it all together, but he’s better suited for a lower workload. Keep him fresh, so his speed can be a factor late in games.

That's probably a good idea, although I struggle to understand how he doesn't create more separation with this speed he supposedly has. The dude they had covering him Saturday looked huge, Lenzy should have been running circles around him. Maybe he was gassed from the 1st half, who knows...lighter workload is probably a good idea.

To be fair 1 of those throws along the right side line shouldn’t have been thrown. And it’s crazy how Dan O probably coached Him more on that route then Del has.

I don’t complain about penalties a lot because we have much better view on tv most of the time but that one throw down the left side was a clear hold. He/We we’re having success when he went 5 -8 yards and boom the ball was there. And Coan still wasn’t real accurate. 38-68 isn’t that good. If I recall he was at 17-34 at half time. So even when he was at his best he is still not that accurate.

This is not factoring in a real WR coach.

Given it's his last chance to improve his odds of making the NFL, maybe the light bulb goes on and he has a more focused and committed off season doing extra work, working on the little things, etc. New WR coach could also help.

His fragile body is always a concern. While great he’s returning, what will we get from him? Will he be injured most of the year? Fingers crossed it all comes together.

Mayer, Tyree, Lenzy, Davis, Wilkins, Styles, Colzie is enough to win all the games we should win. Is it enough for OSU or a playoff caliber team, doubtful. Next year seems like its about just trying to maintain a level of play from past into 2023.

Kid should have been a cornerback. If I remember correctly, he was adamant about being a WR and that was the only way ND was able to get him.

It's so frustrating because every year I convince myself he's going to finally break through. He is just not made to be a WR. It can't be acceptable to have catches on 15-20% of targets. He gets so many opportunities to come up clutch and always fails. How is Merriweather not taking his snaps?

He has a sixth year of eligibility. Is he asked back? That's the question. Unless he excepts a depth role - same with Joe Wilkins, Jr.

The jersey number is very appropriate.
He's absolutely not who I thought he was going to become three years ago.

No. He’s a minus on the field at this point. More helpful for the other team than for us.

No. Leave you aren't welcome here anymore.

Even if we add Jeremiyah Love & Taeshaun Lyons to the class, we are sitting at 9 scholarship WRs for next season. We can't rely on all the freshman. Still need veteran depth, even if they never see the field.

Lenzy has been disappointing. His speed has to be used in some way, but he just isn't a great receiver. This is not breaking news to anyone, sorry.

What have our current veterans done for us? Styles is a veteran next year. Keep him and put every other wr on notice.

Go get a transfer. Lenzy offers absolutely nothing to this team.

They should show this to recruits. Look Lenzy isn’t that good and we got him a NIL deal.

He's better at being fast than playing football. So all the recruitniks that fall in love some a high school kid's forty time, perhaps one day they'll learn.

Perhaps.

This kid deserves some props. He gets open A LOT these days. And often they would be big plays or touchdowns if he got the ball. Everyone had kind of given up on him but he would be the breakout player of the year if ND had a QB that could get him the ball.

Braden Lenzy is like the Zeke Correll of the skill guys. Is he a star in his own right or irreplaceable? No he’s not. Is he going to have some bad plays? Yes. But if others do their job, I’d guess he wouldn’t be the punching bag he’s been.
