Did 70 fans tweet at him or did Grubl aka Irishfanhavemercy do it 70 times?
Isn't NDSean big into that too? IIRC he changed his S/N on IE.

This is what I was getting at. I have no problem with congratulating someone or saying good luck. I hope Braden is tweeting other recruits and recruiting for us. I am talking about fans full blown tweeting recruits and trying to recruit them. I have a very strong dislike and disagree with it 110%. This is what I'm talking about Crusader.
I am also not in favor or Braden telling ND fans to tweet and go after Malik Vann. Leave that up to the coaches and recruits. Take Nebraska fans for example, they do more recruiting then their actual coaches. It doesn't really work for them. Leave the crootin to the recruits and coaches and people affiliated to the ND football program.
Example Jafar Armstrong says major announcement coming tomorrow. First comment is a sweaty creepy fan in the background with a smirk. I busted out laughing at this because nothing screams COME TO ND more than this.
Damefan is a good dude but he's got a reputation and stuff like this is what I'm talking about.

There is a very, very high chance that BK asked Lenzy to do that. And by all accounts it worked. I have no problem whatsoever with fans tweeting recruits when a commit literally tells them to tweet a recruit. I'm not sure how you can look at the interaction yesterday and say that things would have been better if no one tweeted at Vann after Lenzy said that...

No there is not. BK has told the fanbase on several occasions not to do so.
You honestly don't see the difference between a commit tweeting another recruit and a fan doing it?
Are you being obtuse?

Yeah I doubt BK told Lenzy to do it, Probably the recruiting coordinator did
5 posts in a decade and two in a row tonight! What's the occasion Naz?!?!
I don't know much about the twitter world but it seems like the opposite of a private, "safe" place. I think it is where these youngsters go to get an idea of how popular they are. I think they love it.
Ugh thanks for bringing DameFan into this, ruined my night.
You caught me. I'm not saying he ever was inappropriate but unless you have a prexisting relationship leave the kids alone, and let the coaching staff handle the recruiting. He felt the need to buddy up to all this kids and it just came across as incredibly creepy, even thinking about it makes me uncomfortable and I work with kids. You clearly post on rivals

If Lenzy is asking fans to tweet out at Vann I don't see a problem with that....if fans are doing this on their own time, go get a hobby....LEAVE THESE KIDS ALONE!
I saw leave them alone at all times. The staff, lenzy and Stepp can handle it
Back to Lenzy. I see a little Golden in him. Golden Tate that is.

If Lenzy says: "show him how much love there is ND" and then...crickets. Isn't the silence going to embarrass him to some other school with hurt feelings?
I can see what he might become like Golden. But out of high school Golden was basically a RB. I doubt he ever fills out like Golden did. He was a thick dude. Lenzy reminds me of Kenny Stills
I can see Kenny Stills. Lenzy is faster I believe though.

I agree with your optimism. This kid has some skills.
Tate was thick but I think his most important skillset was his strong hands and ability to win a jump ball. Not sure how much of that was due to his thickness.
Lenzy has e|!te speed and great hands. I think he's got some Tate in him.
I'm sure you'll agree that it's ok to let Lenzy be Lenzy. I think we'll be comparing future WRs to him just like Tate and Fuller.
He might be. Lenny and Stills both long ball go get it. I don't like the Fuller comparison...yet. What seperated Fuller from everyone was his ability to track the deep ball. Let's see if Lenzy can develop that
The only other guy I can think of in my viewing experience (mid 2000's til now) who was comparable to Fuller on the deep ball is maybe Ted Ginn while he was at OSU.
I think Calvin Johnson was comparable. I'd take Fuller over him, but Johnson was comparable, in my opinion.
