Does that mean no current player on the roster next year, other then Coney is a player?

Or is someone like Jamir Jones an exception and a kid who is a player? Because again my understanding is the coaching staff is high on Jamir. And if Morgan went down this year Jamir would take over and not Coney or Martini.

Anytime Morgan was off the field it was Coney and Martini on the field. Those three handled those two positions.

From the interview and this tweet from Payton's Godfather, it sounds like the half empty stadium at North Carolina's games as well as Carolina fans primarily caring about basketball was a wake up call for Payton.

Good news is that Payton is not taking visits to pOSU and Clemson and that it's basically a NC State & ND battle.

Bad news is that he recently had in home visits from both ND & NC State, but he only retweeted about the NC State visit.

Last night NC State head coach Dave Doeren and Defensive Coordinator Dave Huxtable went on an in-home visit with 4-star Linebacker Payton Wilson (6’4”/225).

The visit went well, and afterwards Wilson told me that he isn’t going to be taking any more visits before making his college decision. Prior to this, he had planned to take Official Visits to Clemson and Ohio St. in the coming weeks.

When I asked him if it was down to NC State and Notre Dame, the two schools he has taken Official Visits to, he said “sorta, and Virginia Tech.” Notre Dame and Virginia Tech also took in-home visits with Wilson this week.

Whoever lands Wilso will be getting a U.S. Army All-American, a U.S. Army National Player of the Year nominee, and the #4 Outside Linebacker in the country.

My read on the situation. This has become a showdown between NC State and Notre Dame. I think he is intrigued by Notre Dame, but at the end of the day, I think he will choose to run with the Wolfpack

The arrest warrants state on Saturday morning Wilson ran from an officer into traffic, was struck by a car and then continued to flee before hiding under a parked car. Wilson also possessed his brother’s ID for the purpose of purchasing alcohol, the warrant states.

Nice. Can't believe hiding under a parked car didn't work for a college linebacker.
