Addressing rumor of another commitment coming on Monday for the Ohio State Buckeyes
Lol Loy doesn't think Griffith is a take for OSU if he committed today. I did laugh at one of the comments and never thought of it but I think the poster was spot on
FWIW, a poster on Rivals is saying he has a friend on IMG's staff telling him Griffith will be going to ND.

Best news I've heard in a while if true.
So if the safety board is Houston & Allen, who's at the top of the CB board?
Is he officially being recruited as a swing DB?
"I'm probably going to make a commitment in the summertime," Griffith said. "I'm starting to think about places that need me instead of places that just want me. Everyone who wanted me offered me a scholarship but I need to be somewhere where I'm needed, where I can step in as a freshman and make an impact right away."
This quote from the interview. Well Houston, you are certainly needed in South Bend. Come on down.
I remember a podcast last week saying he might be a safety. I assume that means he's either being recruited as swing or safety.
Gotcha. I was wondering if it was official or not. Allen was a CB until he came to grips with his body type and his potential.
I personally would bet the house Griffith's gonna be a safety. The question is, when does Houston think he's gonna be a safety, if at all? I don't think genetics are going to allow him to play CB for his entire college career. Allen could potentially be a roadblock here as maybe Griffith sees that as his best position long term too(?) It would be ok by me if Griffith put on another 10-15 quick pounds and followed his Dad's genetic path. Nothing would make me happier than a 205-210lb Griffith 12 mos. from now. A SS (STUD) with his CB skills and a FS (WHIP) with Allen's CB skillset would be a game changer for ND.
BUT... cornerback is the money maker on Sundays so nobody wants to give up the position unless mother nature forces them to.
Andrew Ivins (InsidetheU) with the CB. Gotta like it when Florida based reporters are feeling the Irish for any recruit!
Ivins is also the ex-recruiting analyst for BGI. So he's somewhat familiar with ND sources as well. Not sure if that matters here but probably doesn't hurt.
