Coach Sanford watching the #1 overall player in '18 throw today... probably would be the best in '17 too.

Hard to believe this kid's 15 or 16. Could be looking at an all timer here.

10 CB's so far: 7 to Tennessee, 3 to UGa and Clemson round out his Top 3. US Army All-American commit.

...and that hair tho.

committed to Clemson which is dumb as it means either himself or Hunter Johnson will be transferring after 1 year

Was just headed over to Hunter's thread to give him a proper Irish Wake!

Bwahahahaha!

Lawrence should be a None & Done. Every NFL team would draft him this year and incubate him. He's an absolute can't miss no-brainer.

Dude is RoboCop incarnate. He was made in a lab or just walked off a flying saucer.

Want aren't you seeing here Pio???

I'll take NFL HOF and you take the field, I'm good with that.

Assuming you mean Clemson, I'd rather have targeted their DC, but whatevs...

(Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled with the Elko hire, but Venables would have been a grand slam -- but unrealistic, I know)

yeah, he just committed there

what does this do to Johnson?

Lawrence is freaking amazing. I'm almost thinking there is no way Johnson beats him out.

Wonder if Johnson starts to look around.

don't think that's hyperbole.

Lawrence is amazing. Daniels out in Cali would be in that realm if he had the size and arm of Lawrence, but he doesn't.

He's got to be the best HS QB prospect since Stafford.

Trust me you, I didn't say it was hyperbole. Been following this kid since travel ball. He's a white whale, the Jadeveon Clowney of QB's, until he isn't.

BUT don't sell JT Daniels arm short just because he is. He can make all the throws at uncanny % rates.... and does against P5 DB's every night. He's not the recruit Lawrence is because Lawrence has ideal NFL package but JT Daniels is a better QB right now, might even have a better college career depending on what team he chooses and how Clemson is during Lawrence's career, plus JT is bigger than a few current Pro Bowl QB's and future HOFer in N.O. so his size won't stop him from being a great one.

Back to Lawrence, He's been the overall #1 HS prospect since he put on a helmet freshman year.

It’s the smart play for Clemson. Keep the 5th year on the team (he would find a new home if he wasn’t starting) as oppose to Chase Brice, RS FR, becoming your #2 behind Lawrence. With the way they’ll blow out teams this year, Lawrence will see plenty of game action. ESPN Football Power index shows them having an over 90% chance to win 7 of their games.

99.7% Furman
99.0% Georgia Southern
96.3% Syracuse
93.4% NC State
92.1% Louisville
91.6% Duke
90.5% South Carolina

He's the best football prospect not in the NFL. Was last year too. If football was like baseball, he would have been he #1 overall draft pick last year.

He's the guaranteed #1 pick in 2 years. He could've led most top 15 teams to a championship.

Incredible poise, stood strong in the pocket until the last second and delivered some lazers.

I'm flabbergasted at how good he is. And I feel that much better about our defense.
