I'll bet the house Hainsey takes over for Mustipher.
I think your correct as is dwshade. Hainsey can play anywhere at a high level at the college level and the C spot will likely be his first crack at starting.

saw some of the 1 on 1's footage and Salyer was filthy in his reps. He made some of the DL quit he was so dominant.

CBs trending to UGA recently. A win next week for the good guys enough to get ND back in the discussion? Anyone know why Clemson was fading a bit and UGA trending?

I really don't believe the outcome of the game is going to matter in his decision. Georgia leads because their OL is awful and he'll start immediately and be close to home. Probably that simple.

I only watched UGA a few times last year, but heard all the dawg fans say that the OL had improved a lot over the year, and would be a strength this year. In the last month, most fans said while young, the two deep should be much better???? Are they smoking good stuff? I hope.

That's just crazy. They struggled all of last year. And yesterday they were very average against an undermanned team.

I think if he came to ND there is a real chance he could start as a true freshman as he is that good. Salyer is extremely special and him starting at ND as a freshman would depend on what they do with Kraemer and Hainsey. Both Kraemer and Hainsey are highly thought of and many believe that Kraemer is the ideal man to replace Q. Nelson at LG. Hainsey is someone that can play any position on the O-Line at the college level and be great. Some have suggested he could move inside to OG or Center to maximize his ability.

Don't forget about Aaron Banks. But yes Salyer could very well be in the running to replace Nelson at LG next season. Still think it's a long shot for us to get him though.

Not forgetting about Banks at all infact I think he's going to be the long term successor at RG. I personally think Kraemer is better suited to be a dominate guard rather than a tackle and believe he is the ideal man to replace Q. Nelson. That said if they keep him as a OT, I think that if ND is lucky enough to get Salyer that he's so good that he could start at LG as a true freshman and would say would start as a freshman if he ends up an EE.

Come up to ND, Jamaree. Play 3 years at LG under the beast O Line coach in CFB, then go on to the league.

gonna be a hard pull now that his buddy andrew thomas is starting as a true freshman for UGA

I'd love to be the one pitching him.

Who's the best NFL OG?

Who's the best college OG?

How can you possibly put your $100m career in the hands of anyone else?

Start from Day 1, go to the league in 3 years.

Play the football factory card. Rumor is, it works.

The academic pitch will be crucial for his mother. She didn't send him to one of the most exclusive academic schools in Atlanta for football.

This, how is ND just not stuffing OL success in NFL since HH is coach down every recruits throat. All day everyday..

They certainly do, that's why we are recruiting the OL very well. Last class was Lugg, Banks, Hainsey, and Gibbons. Probably a top 5ish group nationally. The major reason we aren't this class, at least to the same degree, so far, is this OL class is pretty weak nationally. We are already making some noise with the best in the 19' class.

Not following this. Recruiting is relative every year, but there is still a top 100, top 250, top 300 list of players and all position groups still get ranked. ND is not getting great OL this cycle because there aren't a lot of great players overall? Ok, maybe so. Shouldn't they still be getting the better/best OL, relatively speaking, though?

Some of the talk about ND boasting about their NFL pedigree maybe needs to be toned down a bit too. Not talking to you specifically, Lucky-- just overall in this thread. There's no denying Zach Martin is special player, perhaps an all time great. Other than that? Stanley was a high draft pick and had a solid rookie year, but there's not a ton to brag about yet with him. We think Nick Martin could be good, but he's never played. And then? Plenty of other schools can toe-to-toe with ND when showing what their OL do as far as getting drafted, then succeeding in the league. Having 2 guys go in the 1st round (maybe) should be an awesome recruiting tool...but probably not until next year. There's a reason urbie has quit using the Percy Harvin pick up line-- recruits' memories are only slightly longer than goldfish. Many want to see what have you done lately, as in the last 5 minutes.

And if you have to play the education card, don't forget the Head of School at his high school is Fred Assaf... whose son is ND soph WR Mick Assaf's and Jamaree's former teammate at Pace.

Sometimes 5 star kids might be better off playing football somewhere else in regards to their potential NFL career but this is a case where an HH defined RKG is better off at ND for his future in football at his position.

Is it wrong that in my head I heard Mick AF?

And just like that, our hopes of a 4 year starter are vanquished.
