Helicopter Daddy St. Brown would never allow a transfer to Notre Dame. We will have to recruit our own 5-Star Receiver. The St. Brown Ship has passed.

That would be glorious, even if he didn't end up at ND. Daniels just sitting there holding a bad of crap while Helton is asking him to keep his job.

As long as JT Daniels is there throwing him the ball, it makes no sense for Amon Ra to leave. He is guaranteed to leave after his jr year anyways, so why sit out a year to play a year.

Having said that, if he really is looking to leave I would suspect that JT Daniels would be the first one in line.

Rumors ran rampant earlier today and the only thing Southern Californians saw was Clay running around asking "where's the dumpster?... Where's the Fire?"....<iframe src="https://giphy.com/embed/POoDoA9uM4sWA" width="384" height="480" frameBorder="0" class="giphy-embed" allowFullScreen></iframe><p><a href="https://giphy.com/gifs/fire-POoDoA9uM4sWA">via GIPHY</a></p>

Why is this?

All three St Brown sons have extensively looked at ND as viable options for them.

It's not going to happen, but if ASB were to transfer and USC didn't block ND, I imagine that would be one of the more realistic locations.

Daddy's problem with ND was Longo and he's gone. The rage now is the family hiring a lawyer who orchestrates a waiver claim; the St Brown's would have no problem doing that.

SC would have a legit reason to block transfer to ND, we play them every year.

So, not likely its ND if it happens.

hopefully ARSB knows some dirt, and can blow up the block...
not going to happen, but interesting if true that he really does want to leave.

i know Pittman coming back probably didn't make him happy, but it's not like he has to be the only guy there to shine. hell, he had 700+ with Pittman getting 700+ too. and ARSB got more targets.

When USC first hired Kliff as their OC my first reaction was they were going to put up points next year.

I would 100% make room for Amon-Ra.
I get Daddy St. Brown didn't like Longo, but Balis is a night and day difference.

This is pretty funny about ASB wanting to transfer.

So this is the next evolution for the NFL bound player. Ball out your freshman year, transfer - sit out year 2 - put less snaps on your body, ball out fall of year 3 for Mel & Todd, quit school and go to combine school.

Next step? Getting drafted out of HS by the AAF or XFL.

I read where Harrell turned them down & is staying at North Texas where he can take over as HC when Seth Littrell gets a bigger gig.

Awesome. Helton most likely will be fired mid-season and Harrell have a shot as interim HC... Which with Lynn Swann running the show would probably give him a great shot at becoming permanent. But he would still rather be at North Texas. Lol.... I love it.

This is actually a great strategy for an elite running back. Keep as much tread on the tire as possible.

Aaron Lynch did this....I think we'll see more and more transfers this time of year for college football. Can you imagine if this happened during the later Weis years?

Sorry if I missed it, but is it official that he is leaving??

From what I’ve seen on this thread, it’s pure internet speculation. I can’t see the kid leaving unless his QB leaves. I suspect his primary goal is to put up #s to get the highest draft slot and that likely happens w/ Daniels at the helm.

This favors schools who rely on true student-athletes IMO. Sure, ND would lose a kid at some point, but the factories would see the biggest turnover. I don’t think it adversely affects them but it makes their job recruiting replacements harder.

I hope the XFL or AAF truly does allow drafting kids out of HS. Then we’ll see how many players need to be paid to feed themselves & their families vs hitting the lottery. I suspect most would still go the college route b/c while there may not be a tangible $ value placed on the television platform that P5 schools get to showcase their wares for the NFL...it still trumps what the other pro leagues offer.
