has BK ever beat a team that was ranked in the Top 10 during his entire tenure here?

I'm a proud liberal from a family of proud liberals. And a proud Notre Dame alum from a family of proud Notre Dame alums. Go fuck yourself, Ray.

Agree we need to start beating Stanford more though. Go Irish.

Feel the love!

These are the dumbass comments that a lot of people are getting tired of. Where the fuck did I say that is my bar?? I stated a fact that he has been the best since Holtz and as least led us to the NC. You're the typical spinner of comments to fit your agenda. I don't care we got blasted in the NC...Stanford didn't make it there and we did. If we have to have an 8-5 season to make the CFP every few years, I would rather do that than have Stanford's record and not make it. My bar is CFP and NC, not beating a certain team.

That's fine, but please don't say things like "BK took this program farther than any other coach since Holtz" when defending BK. As far as the MNC and CFP is concerned, Stanford finished better than us in 2015 CFP rankings.

You are correct, we have a NC game appearance and slaughtering. If that is what you choose to focus on, I am not going to stand in your way.

I will choose to focus on the fact that 2015 was by far the most talented roster we have had (much better than 2012) and we managed to lose to the three best teams we played that year. In fact, BK has not beaten a team than finished inside the top 10 since his upset of MSU in 2013. I might be wrong, but I think the only other win over a team that finished inside the AP top 10 was Stanford in 2012 (OU in 2012 was something like 15th at the end of the year I believe). Meanwhile, Stanford has finished in the top 10 numerous times and Shaw has won more games against top 10 opponents and has actually won a major bowl game.

I guess we will always have 2012 though.

Before defending David Shaw....please look at who these big time bowl wins were against...nobodies.

Iowa and...an 8-6 Wisconsin team.

True....but that still doesn't take away from his record versus AP top 25 teams....something around .700 if I remember correctly.

Lmao. How many does Brian Kelly have? Let me answer that for u.. Zero. I mean who in their right mind would have believed after the Cotton Bowl in 93 that BOISE STATE would 3 Major Bowl wins and ND wouldn't? Sorry to bring up the negative but this shit HAS TO STOP.

Should we go through and rank all the big time wins David Shaw has had at Stanford and then do it for Brian Kelly? Shaw has like 17 wins over top 25 teams the last five years

They made some home run hires this year.
Kelly will be gone soon enough.

Those two things don't go together when you're making a point that things are improving.

Yes, unfortunately they do.

Stanford play here in Sydney to open the college season 2017. I wonder if this is influential in a recruits mind.
Notre Dame should get in on this, there are stacks of young rugby league athletes that could be worth looking at.

No disagreement there. Consistently very good team.

Again, no debate there. That said, how would Stanford have done against Bama or tOSU? They've gotten some nice matchups...f'ing Iowa who loses to NDSU this year at home and .500 Big Ten Champ Wisconsin?!? ND/Kelly has played the best team in the country, as well as one of the definite top 3/defending champ.

My heart can't take that right now. It all changes this year!
