I was pretty happy about having a great shot at a guy that Elko targeted for his rover position. But I'm no film expert, so I don't always watch the film and therefore don't know how excited to be.

After reviewing the first 3 minutes, I think we're getting the next Mario Williams.

Where is he predicted to play? His body type seems similar to the Jordan Heath (Cal commit) who we also lead for.

SS/Rover, and yes they are similar players. Partly why I've explained that if we have to choose between the two, I go with Owusu. However, I'd take both at this point as it looks like we'll have space, and I'd like Elko to get guys in, he likes, to give him more time to work with them. And who knows, maybe JGH plays Rover and Owusu can stick at SS.

If you guys watch JGH's tape, he plays almost exclusively FS in HS. JOK plays at the line as a SS or sometimes split out on a receiver while someone is playing FS. I see this as JOK being Rover/SS and JGH being SS/FS. To me, this is definitely a both situation not an either/or.

So it's safe to say that between JGH and Isaac Robertson, we have a true FS (Robertson) and SS (JGH) in this class?

That would make me very happy - I feel we always load up on guys who could play SS, but not be good FS's.

I figured that, which is why I asked if we're sure Robertson can be a true FS. Or is he another SS prospect?

I doubt JGH's a true SS yet but he'd definitely a true SS prospect. Like I said, all I saw him playing was FS. But from FS you see the DB's and LB's flow so that's a huge advantage if you move forward.

In basketball it's best to teach a zone or a press by letting everybody practice the back lines to watch the flow from behind.

I don't think he will play FS either. I'm saying that's what he is now and he brings that skill set with him to SS.

Has there been any indication whether they would take both JGH and JOK? There shouldn't be a problem with space but they seem to be similar players. I really hope they do take both if they both want to come (I'm assuming this decomit by JOK is a great sign for ND although MSU is likely in play)

One would play Rover, the other Safety. Definitely room for both.

I agree. I see JGH as a SS and JOK as the Rover but I'm sure that if they came to ND the positions of the players is going to be quite fluid with the new system under Elko.

And I agree with that. Driskell thinks that JGH could play FS if needed to, but will more than likely grow into a SS/Rover. More than anything, I think this group will bring some physicality and athleticism, to that group.

Got around to watching his film and I like it. He is explosive. Explosive first couple steps and explosive closing speed.

I hope he doesn't pull a Norwood.
