Ahmad Brooks talking about Davis playing something other than QB at ND. They have him at 6-1, 200 and a 4.6. His potential flexibility is unlimited.

Looked much better when he started to freestyle there at the end of the half.

Gorman's pass rush is nice, so they need to keep going no-huddle and letting Davis do whatever he wants. Sometimes it takes backyard football when you've got an athlete running the show.

Shows how good of an athlete he is. With that said he must not have much of a future a QB.

I don't really agree that he doesn't have much of a future at QB. He looked good when he had time to make a throw last night and even when he didn't have time (which was most of the time) he still occasionally made a crazy throw or kept things alive with his feet just long enough to find an open receiver. Haskell Garret and Gorman's d-line just abused Cedar Hill's o-line all night. Avery never really had a chance to get into a rhythm or read the defense at all. Constantly on the run. And I don't think that it was Cedar Hill's o-line being bad...just Gorman's d-line is really really good.

If Wimbush and Jurkovec never suffer an injury and are who they appear to be in their college careers, will Avery Davis ever take a meaningful snap at ND?

If yes, what odds do you give it?

Wayyyy to many variables to take into account there. I bet he sticks at QB. Don't know if he ever starts long term but I could see it.

One scenrio: Kizer and/or Zaire could be gone after this year...that opens the door for Wimbush to ball out in 2017...then he could go pro. Then who starts in 18? Book, Davis or true frosh Jurkovec?

LOTS of different scenarios could transpire and we have no idea how it plays out. What we do know is that he was our 2nd QB offer of the '17 class and we aren't recruiting another QB so I'm gonna say the staff is pretty high on him. I liked watching him play last night a lot even tho his team was clearly inferior. Looked very Manziel-like...in a good way.

There are just so many different things that could happen in the next few years so it's really hard to say. I do understand the thought process of him possibly switching positions because he's obviously very athletic but if I had to put money on it I would say he stays at QB.

Sounds like the same question people asked about Deshone Kizer last summer.

I was going to mention that as well but Crusader did say if there were no injuries so I left it out. Still a valid point tho. Also...while at ND, BK has never switched someone who was recruited as a QB to a different position despite a few of them being pretty athletic.

No need to have a QB change position when they either get suspended, transfer, or get hurt. I.e Hendrix, Golson, Kiel, Zaire

Luke Massa doesn't approve this message. Most athletic of them all. Started at QB. Switched to receiver. Then became the holder.

Not so much correcting you. Gorman's campus is about 2 miles from my house so I follow them

I've been known to catch a game or two of their's from time to time.

Going to next week's Bosco game. Might even drive up for the Aquinas game.

Ya, I'm hoping my schedule is good to hit the Aquinas game. I missed when Servite came here a couple years ago.

My daughter goes to Sierra Vista on color guard so I'll be at that game since it's a SVHS home game

He had a hell of game tonight in a losing effort. On my phone so I can add tweets easily.
