I ended up being "friends" with a few players from ND over the last few years and Barajas added me as we had mutual friends so to get some info for myself and for IE I asked him what position he was training at this year and thus told me Mike and that he's pumped about it. If Morgan goes down with an injury I could see Martini filling in for him but Barajas is a few plays away from playing Mike for us this year. Let's hope he's picking it up well. Physically, in the spring, he certainly looked ready. Mentally is a different story I'm sure.

It's good that he is physically in shape now, as I believe he was over weight when he came in last year.

This kid is a stud. His film makes me confident he'll be a solid MLB at ND. #35 is all ready taken by Daunted Vaughn, no?

If BVG was still defensive coordinator Adams wouldn't be seeing much PT his first few years lol.

Hahaha. This is true. What I like about this kids tape mostly is his angles. He takes really good angles on the ball and has pretty good closing speed. Hard hitter who sheds blocks fairly well and seems quite polished. My opinion.

If ND stays a 4-3, Adams will have to work hard for that spot.

Hopefully he redshirts next year, then he comes back his sophomore year behind Barajas and maybe Coney or Jones if they move guys around. That will also be Bo Bauer's freshman year who looks better than all of them junior year tape to tape.

If they go 3-4, Adams and Bauer could have some nasty seasons together in '20 & '21.

Yessir!! I like this idea! Bauer and Adams in a 34. Two hard nosed Mid-West linebackers smashing ball carriers. I also agree about Bauer's tape. It's incredible.

His team plays against Wilson (near me) in the 6A state semifinal this weekend. Pitt Central Catholic is stacked but Wilson is a perennial power and the high school of Kerry Collins and Chad Henne.

Per 247, Adams broke the school record for career tackles @ 290! That's A LOT of tackles. I think this kid is for real. I'm really excited about him. I'm guessing he will be on special teams next year while he gains weight and strength and learns the defense behind Nyles.

dropped 102 spots

“Adams is one of the more physical linebackers in the country and he sees running lanes very quickly but he was beaten to the edge too many times this season. He will need to get faster once he gets to Notre Dame to be the dominant interior enforcer he was at Central Catholic. It will also be important for him to develop his pass coverage techniques.” - Friedman

Immediately what I thought that this bump would be. He's just an old-school linebacker. But he never struck me as the kind of kid that needed the rankings to stroke his ego.

Fall down the rankings.. Maybe we don't have to worry about other schools trying to steal him.. I think the kid is a gem and I am excited for him to play in a couple years

I'd be much more excited for him if ND was a 3-4 team. If Bauer stays inside and ND remains a 4-3, could be trouble DA. I think Bauer will be the type of player who can play anywhere though and even Joe Schmidt was ok pre-injury so who knows(?)
