“I got an official offer from Pittsburgh. That’s the only one other than Notre Dame I got,” said Hainsey. “I am locked in with Notre Dame though. I don’t see myself anywhere else.”

“I’ve been talking to coach Harry Hiestand pretty frequently,” said Hainsey. “He was a part of my decision because I really like him and I got a good vibe from him. I just feel comfortable with him. I know he’ll do his best to make me the best player I can be. Other than that, it was everything combined with the school. Not even just football. Mostly things away from football. The life it can set me up for me after school with the education and the degree. All the intangibles most people don’t even think about.”

Huh?? Is he speaking to a specific time frame or does he only have two 'official' offers??

Official offers went out a few days ago; an official offer is a piece of paper that comes from the university. Everything before that are verbal offers

BTW Robert was named a captain this year @ IMG, no mean feat considering the talent levels on that squad.

The guard that lines up next to him is HUGE! Anyway, like Roberts footwork.

The guard next to him is '18 Curtis Dunlap. 4 star with 20-30 offers. The Florida schools and Oklahoma are on top for him.

He looks dominate, as he should.

Dare I say it: offensive tackle.

This is my thinking now. If you are the starting LT at the nations top football program for 2 years and get to compete against a murderer's row of defenses in practice and on Friday nights, he's probably tackle material in college.

He may not be the best LT prospect in the country but nobody is getting the experience he is, and it's not even close.

Yeah. And he may not be the biggest kid, but his arms are really powerful. I think he's got some tools.

When you come out of IMG as a two year starter, you have the #1 tool, battle tested confidence.

So he and Lugg are competing for RT?

I'll guess they'll be competing for LT someday too. Banks might join them, yeah Sarrell might also - I'll include that in there so I don't sound like Debbie D. They'll be a year behind Eichenberg and a year in front of whoever comes in next year... and next year's LT crop isn't looking anything like this year's. ND has no traction on anyone in the class except Jackson Carman but OSU's a mile out front.

Great read. Thanks for this. The fact Hainsey has practised against Beal and Kaindoh all season will be great for him in terms of being ready for Div 1 competition. All the IMG kids. I want all of them. The schedule they play is crazy and they went 12-0. It's gonna be about putting weight on. I'm predicting he'll be a starter in his JR year being that he's 270 and will need to put on at least 30 lbs of good weight.

The funny thing is he'll have practiced against better talent in HS than he will in college.

Only partially kidding.
