I live a block from St Johns HS and it would great if this dude would start a trend...they are a rising player in DC football, play great competition (Dematha, Good Counsel, Gonzaga, even IMG this past year) and the school has a crap ton of Kevin Plank's Under Armour $$$.

Did you know that J.J. Watt was a two-star recruit?

Did you know that Watt was All-State but got mononucleosis before his senior season, couldn't got to camps, etc, and was underweight as a senior.

Some similarities with Larry Moriarty who went JUCO prior to entering ND. He's the example ND fans cite for ND admitting JUCOs. But neither Watt nor Moriarty were academic casualties. Both were good students with health issues. Moriarty was in a auto accident in HS then developed meningitis. Both guys pump a lot of iron, worked hard, and took the path less traveled to find their dreams.

Watt had 3 or 4 offers. Went to CMU on scholarship and was a freshman TE on a team that didn't throw often. After his freshman year he was told he was moving to OL. He didn't see it and left CMU. Worked delivering pizza, took some courses at the local community college, and then went to WIS and walked on.

Both guys who were lightly regarded coming out of HS went on to success in the NFL. Neither is representative of 2 star recruits.

Big 247 recruiting update just came out. Ward lows mother said he may not have passed admissions yet.

ND feels like they have a shot here. Key thing here is he didn't flip to VT while on his visit this past weekend, leaving ND to believe they have a shot. IF he drops Maryland today, ND would like their chances even more. They've at least given themselves a shot here.

Is it Maryland or ND he hasn't cleared admissions for? If it's Maryland, I don't see how he'd get cleared at ND either..

According to Loy, he's a take. So, whatever issue there was with admissions, it must be cleared up.

Is it first come first serve for between Wardlow and Harris or will they take both if they both want to come. I'm assuming MTA and at least one of Wardlow/Harris are takes.

Anyone who's watched film on all 3, or have some other reason to have an opinion want to share what order they prefer the 3 DE targets we have a shot at among Amosa (Hawaii), Jalen Harris (Arizona), and Wardlow (Maryland)?

I've had a gut feeling all along they wouldn't take both Wardlow and Harris but it was a first come, first serve situation.

Is this a result of a Harris decision leaking?

Amosa will play an entirely different position than Harris/Wardlow.

I would hope the staff takes all 3 but if I have an order or preference:

Amosa
Harris
Wardlow

Amosa seems to be a guaranteed take. I wonder if it will be first to take the spot between Harris and Wardlow.

Well what's Amosa's spot? SDE? We already have McColister at SDE (not that I'm against taking 2).

Pretty confident Amosa will be a 3T in college. I agree with Irish Man 3's order.

MTA has to be a DT down the road.

Wardlow I think has a higher floor than Harris, he's filled out already, physically 6-12 mos of weight room ahead of Harris. He's competed against top talent in HS too so this isn't taking a kid from a typical low A school.

Harris has all kinds of ceiling. He's quick, he's fast, he's a 2-3 basketball player playing WDE. How long will it take to get his body up to competition spec? Is he like the HS version of the Bears' (UGa) Leonard Floyd? Maybe he'll compete with a beefed basketball body? Plus, you can take a look at his P's and guess that he's got the genes to fill out. I think once he gives up basketball, he'll put the weight on. I don't think Dad has pushed them very hard in the weight room because basketball has been such an important part of their childhood. His younger brother has a legit shot of being a one & done. Which brings it back to Mom being a basketball player at UofA when Dad played LB for the Desert Swarm. Jason going to UofA for a year under Sean Miller makes sense. Dad's from Tucson. Both boys would be there together for a year or possibly two. Makes too much sense that he goes to UofA.

Harris is a definite take regardless of Wardlow.

More CBs coming. It looks like maybe him, the kid from Hawaii, Owusu, and a chance at Yeast. If so, the staff killec it at the end in such short time.
