'17 DC DE Kofi Wardlow (Notre Dame Signee)

There was a podcast (think it was ISD) that said if one commit might have a hard time adjusting to ND in this class, it's Kofi.

They said his decision came out of no where, and he had weird answers as to why he chose ND. They're not predicting a transfer, but said if anyone will have a hard time adjusting, it's him.

I don't know anything about the kid's makeup or his home/high school environment, but it does seem like these late recruitments can sometimes be dicey. It's hard for either party to really understand what they're getting into when the relationship has only been a couple of weeks old.

If he went to a public school maybe but he went to the right kinda school and there are guys on the team from his conference... Mustipher, White, someone else? With another Mustipher on the way (yeah I said it!). He also played with ND's big basketball recruit for '17, DJ Harvey too. They are also in the same HS conference.

That's just paranoia, besides Aaron Lynch, Jonathan Williams, Grant Blankenship, Kolin Hill, and Ishaq Williams, what WDE have we struggled to keep at ND lately?

And I don't want to hear about Bo Wallace, Donavan Jeter, or Robert Beal. They never signed.

“Foreign land,” Lesa said. “South Bend, Indiana is a foreign land.”

Kid's decisions "decision came out of no where, and he had weird answers as to why he chose ND. "

Give me a break. This kid doesn't know as much about football as the average 10 year old. Two years of football experience, never having watched it, or being exposed to it. What do you expect? Him to act like other recruits that have played for ten or eleven years already?

All you need to know is this kid asked what to do next, and they told him to gain 20 lbs. He did it in the weight room, with an extra lunch, in what? A month and a half?

Sounds like he is still growing. Loy saw him today and called him a "monster" apparently up to 6'4-6'5. Reminds me a lot of Romeo Okwara.

Sounds like ND might have gotten a steal with Kofi. He has shown great athletic ability and a lot of quickness. Better athlete than they originally thought. Per ISD

Nah, he doesn't have any pressure right now. He's essentially a RS FR this year. Give him time, hopefully the lights go on sooner but he has at least 2 years of weight training and practice before his clock starts really ticking.

He looks like he has the physical skills and the physique for drop. Technical aspect needs work though.

Is he still on the team with Okwara being out you would think he might be mentioned in getting in the rotation of some playing time.

Yes, he’s still on the team but he’s been behind Justin A and Ovie for reps. So I think you’ll see those guys before him.

Will admit I completely forgot a young man named Kofi Wardlow plays football for the University of Notre Dame.

So the big German DE and The flying Hawaiian DE saw action on Saturday and made plays...Kofi Wardlow shows no action in game logs I have reviewed...safe to assume he will be grad transferring after this season...

Isn't he sitting like 4th or 5th on the depth chart behind Frosh Mills?

He has COVID, but was buried in depth chart anyways. He got it before Duke.
