Per Greg Biggins @ Scout:

OSB will not be on campus with the rest of the B2G squad. No word if ASB will be visiting or not.

Don't like it.

Rivals mod Andrew doesn't think they play on this team any longer. That they may be playing on a different team, but he's not exactly sure.

As long as they don't move around once they hit ND, they can do as they please haha

Has anyone heard anything on OSB's recruitment? Kind of shocked how quiet it has been on this front. Is he waiting to see how ESB is used?

Don't be shocked one way or the other. The St. Brown's are methodical and march to the beat of their own drum. Nothing they do should be considered a tell one way or another.

The only thing that would surprise me is if he goes somewhere other than ND or Stanford.

Comparing the two: ND's depth chart including '16 recruits is 10x Stanford's. Add to that, Stanford only has FOUR offers out to '17 WR's... OSB, DPJ, Tarik Black & one of the TX receivers who ND isn't in on.

It's safe to say, he plays early and often at Stanford. They only have Trent Irwin and incoming Simi Fehoko who are ND level depth chart guys going forward. He was on McKinley's 7v7 team, he knows he's behind there and Kevin Stepherson is blowing up... that's just the pre-freshman. Add 1 or 2 years of AJ stealing WR reps and the 30ish offers ND has out to WR's in '17 & '18 already... Stanford looks good.

Lastly, they have 3 or 4 NFL type QB prospects in the fold. All that together makes Stanford look like the easier path to shine on.

It's just a link to Power Hour, which I highly recommend. I don't recall Mike talking about a recent visit, but he did say that he considers OSB a Stanford lean. Looks like he and Amon-Ra will take a few summer visits and that ND will probably get a visit.

Denbrock was with them yesterday.

I hate to say it, I'm not worried one way or the other. If they don't follow ESB to ND because of playing time, it just says there's a lot of talent that they acknowledge is blocking their path to minutes. Good problem.

I worry because I know that OSB would be an impact player, and I just want all of the St. Browns. I really want to see all of them line up in 2018, not just for the novelty.

The depth chart in 2018 is going to look like the Pro Bowl. Good luck being a freshman and taking CJS's and any other slot receivers they pick up in '17's minutes. Stepherson could end up there too. My brain hurts trying to figure out where to put these WR's.

I really only meant for a few snaps, not as starters.

Based on what? Returning production looks like this:

RECEIVING* GP-GS* No.* Yards* Avg* *TD* Long* Avg/G*
HUNTER JR,Torii* 13-1 * 28* 363* 13.0* 2* 40* 27.9*
ROBINSON, Corey* 12-0 * 16* 200* 12.5* 1* 22* 16.7*
ST. BROWN, E.* 7-0 * 1* 8* 8.0* 0* 8* 1.1*
SANDERS, C.J.* 13-0 * 1* 0* 0.0* 0* 0* 0

TOTAL 46 rec 571 yrds 3 TD

With Hunter being the only "proven" receiver of the bunch, where are the rest of our Pro Bowlers? Oft-maligned Robinson? St. Brown or Sanders who combined for two receptions in all of 2015 (both also recovering from injuries mind you)? Or maybe one of the incoming or red-shirt frosh who haven't proven butkus on the field?

Please, tell me more about how we don't need to keep bringing in talent at WR or any other position.

idk what it is, but I feel like this one is trending away from us. seems to be a lot of Stanford momentum, especially with the little brother.

Their next visit to campus is going to be big imo

I think this is all just preparation in case ESB doesn't see enough action this year, but that's just my guess.

My theory is that they are going to go to ND, under the assumption that the oldest one will be given a fair shot. The visits and "favoring" Stanford are just preparing for other eventualities, like being unhappy with the playing time their brother gets.

They transferred after the '14 season. Played for Mater Dei last year. They knew JT Daniels was coming in to sling it and there could have been some friction between St Brown's and Terrell Bynum's camp. Bynum was the better receiver... or targeted more / more productive in '14. He's committed to Washington. The other oddity is ND alum, Oscar McBride came in as the OC as they were leaving. Looked like a match made in heaven.

Shows how much I kept up... I wonder (just assuming they all come to ND) if this can help pull MD away from SC a bit... The McBride thing is odd but maybe only from a ND-centric perspective.

I don't remember the timing... they may have transferred before Servite hired Meyer away from CDM and then Meyer hired Oscar away from Tesoro.

Mater Dei is leaning away from SC right now. They're not thought to be a player for either St Brown. Most people think ND leads for JT Daniels right now (Don't hold your breath until '19), future All American OT Tommy Brown is a Bama legacy and rising '18 LB Jack Genova is talking up ND even though his parents are SC alums. Even all world freshman Bru McCoy has an ND offer and no SC offer.

Off the top of my head, i think OSB is the only Mater Dei player with an SC offer. Brown, ASB, Daniels and McCoy are going to get them but SC is off the pace right now.

Odd days in the OC.
