Yeah, but Hand wasn't telling everyone that he wasn't going to play in the NFL. He didn't commit to a school like UCLA and do so with education in mind. Just seems like it's not just words with Echols, all of his actions seem to back up his comments about choosing his school based non football factors.

Just my opinion.

Considering Echols has openly said that he doesn't want to play in the NFL, he has no reason to go to ASU. He needs to go somewhere that offers a degree worth having

NO, at least according to 247 Young is top slot player for ND and will wait on his decision at the end of the month.

If Jamire is the reason you get Hunter the answer is yes. Not saying they will, just saying they should.

Echols and Calvin > Probably Young and maybe WDE.

I still take Young regardless if it means taking 5 WR's. Calvin comes in and is your back up PR, he might unseat CJ. He led the country in PR TD's last year. Dude's a straight menace.

i don't take that as anything...if i was a dlineman and got an offer from LSU...it would be big too considering their success at the position but don't see them as a threat...loy said he still feels ND vs USC in the end

Just a quick tidbit.

Mike from ISD is very strangely optimistic about our chances with Echols. Seems like our staff and a lot of our commits have been in constant communication with him for a while. Sounds like we're in a lot better shape than originally anticipated.

I don't think there's any question that he has had legitimate interest in ND for some time now, but there has been very pressing concerns about him even leaving California. Seems like a hurdle that ND might have cleared. If that is the case, then Echols might be all ours.

It was a few weeks ago, I want to say before the Opening that Mike said this. Everyone on ISD feels much more comfortable with how Echols' recruitment is going at this point.

He did, but he just updated today that ND has made some major moves on him. There's a lot of guys, in our corner, that are in Echols' ear apparently.
