This offer really has flown under the radar. Saw it as I was posting his profile after I got updated on his teammate, Taariq Johnson's offer. That makes four offers out to the Hawkins crew.

He is in the same mold as JuJu Smith and Adoree Jackson. Does it on both sides of the ball so who knows what he will play in college. From what I have read, he's a lock so don't hold your breath.

Had ridiculous stats (playing against a very weak by LA/IE/OC standards schedule) as a sophomore. Over 1000 yds passing as a part time QB and 2371 yds rushing on just 147 carries.

He's been getting a ton of press for his coverage skills on the 7v7 circuit.

I'll have to get out to a Hawkins game to see this crew. Hopefully they have a least one good team on the yet unreleased schedule this year.

A bigtime SoCal defect. UCLA and SC should never have let Khalil Tate leave for AZ. That dude was like Tony Soprano in LA. AZ schools getting much better traction here now a days. All that said, wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't flip back home.

In an interview today with Scout's Brandon Huffman, Greg Johnson said that he'd be taking an OV to ND in the fall. It was the only one he mentioned when asked. He's still committed to Arizona at this time.

That's good news. This guy might be the most versatile player in the country. CB, S, WR, RB, QB-D, KR, PR, does it all. It'd be only right if the football god's sent GJ to South Bend as a replacement for Damian Alloway.

“I talk to coach Denbrock a lot,” said Johnson. “He wants me to take an official visit up there. I need to figure out if I want to do that or not. I just want to see how the fans react to the game, when they are winning or losing. You know, see how the fans get if you’re down. See if they’re still supportive. I want to see how the coaches coach, especially if it’s a close game. See if they stand up or fold.

“Coach Denbrock is a great person. He’s a great guy. He wants the best for me and whatever decision I make. I like him a lot for that because he cares.”

Denbrock's obviously on him hard. He mentions ND every interview/article when talking with non-ND scribes. For someone that is going to look around, he makes it seem like he's locked in on his UofA commitment. The benefits of flipping him besides his obvious talents is it gives them more leverage with Jalen Hall next year.

Oh and Greg... don't be wishing that bad joojoo on the Irish. Ain't nobody got time for that bein' down stuff this year.

Unlike a lot of "Committed" high school players who openly talk about being recruited and taking visits, Johnson is more guarded. I think it's plain to see he's still weighing his options.

He's slipped up in earlier interviews stating he would OV to ND. I'd bet it all he's in South Bend for a game this fall.

They have been tearing up SoCal in the past year.

They got Kalil Tate from Serra who was the leader of that team with Beitiku, Pollard & Burton squad plus JJ taylor and Chacho Ulloa from Corona Centennial. This year, they hired Donte Williams from San Jose St and he's already plugged in and grinding.
