I don't want to jinx us, but we haven't had a true de-commit since Barnett. I don't know if the staff has changed their strategy in regards to when they accept a commitment, but other than a very brief moment with Spencer Perry, our class has been rock solid (last year's class was incredibly solid too considering the suck fest that was November 2014). I'm much more worried about getting McCulloch committed than keeping him committed.

From looking around 24/7, A&M fans are seriously freaking out about losing Coach Allen and him canceling his visit there this weekend after talking it up beforehand. They are very worried. Texas fans see ND as a major dark horse threat - and think (for the most part) his top 5 is in order, but then also add they think he eventually gets cold feet and doesn't leave the state.

From all premium sites, ND coaches in the Gug feel we are in decent shape and will be in it till the very end.

247 was told that BK left the in home visit confident he would be Irish eventually. 247 makes it sound like the competition is Stanford and Texas.

To get the other side of it. Hamm spoke with McCulloch and they haven't made a final decision on whether or not he's ready to commit on Jan. 2nd. He's going to talk it over with his family and coaches then decide if he's ready or not. Hamm goes on to point out that he's visited A&M a lot (5 times) versus Texas just once.

Personal opinion is Hamm is pulling his best Hopkins/Lorenz impression here.

I'm on board with both of you. He's a big time talent and is a much needed piece for this class. It won't ruin the class if he goes elsewhere but it'd sure be a shinier box if he's a part.

We just had Joe Schmidt start for 2 consecutive seasons. We take both and it doesn't matter if they're needs at that point IMO.

I'll let my self feel optimistic when Loy CB's him. If Loy doesn't CB him we don't have a shot. He misses CBs on guys he CBs that don't choose Irish, but he never misses by NOT CBing someone who turns Irish.

per texas a&m 247 people----ND is very much a threat...michigan pissed him off by DJ leaving so they were out...stanford is also someone he likes...both Texas schools are very shaky at the moment and has been a turn off
