Nice...guilty before proven innocent for you I see.

Rarely, and I mean rarely, is someone in this position truly innocent. Sure, people get off from charges like this and the non guilty verdict can be completely justified but rarely are they 100% innocent either. You dont see charges like this on clean behaving people.

If that bothers you, sorry. Welcome to the real world. Wait until it is your daughter.

I'd agree with you if the charges were not dropped and he plead out. But, the charges were dropped so I don't think there is much to this story.

And actually something like this happened to me and my parents had to pay a hefty bail. It was lies the whole time and the court eventually threw out the charges, but my parents had to pay a lot of money to bail me out and lawyer fees.

Very sorry to hear this. That had to truly suck. I know that happens more than it should. It is sad when people take advantage of the laws and society views to make stuff like that up and wreck lives.

Add to that Josh King and Donnie Corley rumored to be 2 of the 3 suspended for the prior sexual misconduct investigation and that's the 3 top players from MSU's 16 signing class potentially gone. Spontaneous Program Combustion is real

Eesh, if true does MSU have anybody to look forward to? That's their future right there.

Dantonio to replace BK next year?

Sure he'll sign kids with potential criminal assault charges pending... but I guarantee the first thing Danantonio would do when he got to ND would be to set up a auditing system to ensure that no one on the team ever dated a girl who might help him write a paper.

Some things just can't stand. Not on an American college campus.

I mean as long as they arent riding around with weed and unlicensed guns or attacking police officers. We should be good.

Not saying it happens but this is how a coach who like Dantonio, who has had success above and beyond expectations, gets booted sooner than some might have expected. W's falling off a cliff, and loss of control of the locker room. Been a lot of turmoil with this team. Be interesting to see how they do on the field.

Haha! The difference is we kick kids out who do that crap (guns at least). Not sign them after the fact and hope they beat the rap.

My matrix for judging football player behavior is this: Was the incident in the world of normal (idiotic) college misbehavior? If so, you can't expect much more from the coach. So I don't get too bent out of shape about weed, or drinking citations, or provoked fights that don't end with someone in the hospital. But guns, sexual assault, violence, etc. are a no go.

I highly doubt ND or MSU is accepting a lot of other students with pending sexual misconduct charges.

Then to have the kid do it again, big time no-no. Have to imagine he's done at MSU for good. You can't keep a kid around like that. Let another coach be the guy that gives him his 3rd chance at redemption. It certainly can't be the same guy, lol, that's asking for trouble.

Dantonio would not survive at ND with the media scrutiny. I live in Michigan and he doesn't always like interviews that much. He would need to be the face of ND football and that is not his thing.

He can fade into the distance at MSU, not so much at ND.

Plus he has Izzo there to shoulder the spotlight and who is much more comfortable dealing with people.

Told my MSU friends when MSU football started picking up that if/when they started getting guys that didn't fit the MSU mold that the locker room would combust. MSU survived on kids that had something to prove and they did a hell of a job for years. Then they started getting bigger named kids and the mix of try-hards and cocky-ones didn't work out too well.

I never thought it would come to sexual assaults though, damn.

Do what Urban Liar did at Florida. Only bring in the kids you no are going to have a run-in with the law. They have an edge to them.

Great post, and very true. It will be interesting to see if he can get the locker room back, so to speak.
