The biggest mystery in football recruiting history. This is the type of kid that ends up in the NFL.

He has been destroying 7v7 opponents all year. Outplaying teammates like Joseph Lewis and Javon McKinley.

Loy knows what's up.

Was the Super Standout at the B2G Elite Camp over Jackie Jones, Trevon Sydney and others. ND is in contact but from what I've read, he comes from serious money and that might have him pegged as a PWO (?). You can't go through SoCal HS Twitter feeds without seeing his name mentioned by other players, coaches and analysts. He's becoming LA Football's version of Earl the Goat.

From Rivals (free):

Former five-star cornerback and USC signee Iman Marshall was watching practice and after a double move that freed up Shohfi and had the cornerback fall down, Marshall said that somebody should offer Shohfi. He's picked up small offers and Washington is showing interest, but it's hard to believe more schools are not getting involved. Shohfi has impressive speed, he runs the cleanest routes and the San Marino prospect has some of the best hands around. If more coaches take a serious look, more offers could be coming. - See more at: https://www.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=880&CID=1774669#sthash.V9D7syMg.dpuf

Honestly I wish ND would offer him. He doesn't have top end speed, but the kid is just a football player.

San Marino High School? Wow, that's crazy. For those who don't know (and I'd assume that's almost everyone), San Marino is a highly Asian high school, with whites and some Hispanics mixed in as well. Very wealthy families. Not exactly a hot bed for Div 1 football talent at all. I can see why this kid would be overlooked during the high school season, because no scout would ever go to a home game of theirs.

Hope this kid gets some offers rolling in...

Go public... offer him a PWO right now and tell him if there's one left, it's his.

Just watched his tape. Wow...

What's the deal? Has great stats against great competition. Is super athletic. Adequate size. Blowing up camps. Smart kid.

Shit... I know we don't have a lot of spots. But I don't see this as a stretch or project. Kid looks like he can seriously play.

Not to make the complete white receiver comparison, but Welker had 0 offers on NSD and had to go to Texas Tech with his tape and tell the coaches he needed an offer or was going to walk-on at Oklahoma. They had 1 available and gave it to him, and he was their best player instantly as a freshman. He was the Oklahoma state player of the year and had the nickname "The Natural" and still had 0 offers. Some people look at speed or size (or even race) and make up their minds despite productivity.

He could also be the next Gehrig Dieter and maybe only be a MAC-level player. We certainly don't need a Heggie 2.0, but I'd love to see if they could get him on campus for a workout to see him in person before deciding not to offer.

Whoa whoa whoa, his high school does NOT play a great schedule. Like, at all. They played one decent team. The rest of their schedule sucks. They are a high achieving academic public school, and their league isn't good at all.

I have no idea if he's legit or not, but I'm just saying, the numbers he put up were against a lot of bad competition.

Interesting... I made an assumption there. How bad could we be talking? It is California.

It's not like he played for Berrien Springs or anything. Right?

No, not that bad, but not that much better. Blair HS is tiny and shouldn't be in their league. South Pasadena has way too many rich kids that don't like to get hit. Same thing with La Canada. And a Temple City is just God awful most years. The only decent team is Monrovia, as they have a good mix of Whites, Blacks, and Hispanics. Ellis McCarthy (former UCLA 5 star and early draft entree last year) went there. But they are poorly coached a lot of times so flip a coin with them.

Lots of great football out in CA, but not in that league LOL.

A little update on Mr. Nintendo.

He has a Stanford PWO offer and has some Power 5 schools finally kicking the tires.

He's 4 games into the season and has:

32 rec for 620 yds and 9 TDs. 2 TD rushing, 1 PR TD and a pick 6 for 13 TD's total.

He only got one target and one rush (TD) in an 80 point blowout win, though that is the game he had the pick 6 and the PR TD.

His last game that the highlights are not up for yet went: 13 rec...300yds...4TD's.

Yeah... it's not PAC-5 competiton but he was the B2G 7v7 MVP with Javon McKinley, Jackie Jones and Sean McGrew on his squad. The world is missing out.

No, we will be getting McKinley and whoever else want. We are fine at WR, but he looks like a nice player

PWO only, I'm saying. Sounds like he can go where he wants on grades and family finances if I've heard correctly... but don't be surprised when he out performs the majority of players if he goes PWO and then earns a scholarship wherever he lands, IF he doesn't accept whatever D1 offers come his way. Academics will be important to him so If it's full ride - Oklahoma St vs Notre Dame PWO, from what I've gathered, it's ND all the way
