I would love to know a ratio of how often there is a legitimate change in the recruitment, as opposed to how often it is simply one site or another drumming up interest with a "source" that "feels good" when that really isn't the case.

Personally, I think somewhere around 85-90% of these kids know where they want to go from day one. Sometimes, along the way, they may change their minds. But I think the overwhelming majority just play the system, enjoy the ride, and say whatever to get by.

Decision will reflect on his character and mature he is for an 18 year old. A smart decision would be ND if he has paid any attention to the careers of Two and Jaylen.

Wholeheartedly disagree with this comment. Just because he picks OU over ND has absolutely no reflection of his character.

So anyone who has an offer from ND but chooses an "inferior" school has horrible character?

I'm guessing you mentioned Two (Te'o) and Jaylen (Jaylon) because they were Butkus award winners. He can easily go to OU and become the next Butkus winner...OU has their fair share of them too.

I really don't want this to appear as a consolation post, but I watched ~ 2 mins of Jonathan Jones and Caleb Kelly's highlights, and I thought Jones looked very slightly better.

I'm not thrilled with having a 5'11" MLB either, but athletically he seemed slightly superior IMO.

So is that even slighter than slightly? How is that even measurable?

I tend to agree. Not trying to go all sour grapes but I've thought for a while that Kelly might be the most overrated 5* I've seen for a while. If you compare Kelly's highlights to Davis or McCulloch's, there is no comparison. He never seems to "stick" people, and it never thrills me when your highlights are filled with arm tackles that just barely got to in the first place.

Still want him but his highlights are very mehh to me.

This is exactly why you don't get excited by all of the rumors you hear the last few weeks of the recruiting season. A couple of days ago it was a sure thing he was going to ND. Now it's a sure thing he's going to OU. It's almost worth not paying attention to recruiting until NSD, but we're ND fans. We crave the drama.

Here we go again.

FWIW, Wilfong made another post, saying he feels really good about his Oklahoma CB, but that Irish sources disagree.

Starting to believe these 'tidbits' truly are just to sell subscrips.

The fact that even Loy of all people changed his CB from ND to Oklahoma makes you think Oklahoma is definitely Kelly's landing spot.

Yes, I'm surprised Loy didn't wait to hear about how ND's in home goes tomorrow. He usually waits until after a visit if it's right around the corner. Kind of telling IMO.

After reading all this, if BK does convince Caleb to come to south bend I don't see him staying long. Usually situations like this is expect Caleb Kelly to transfer after a year.

So what I'm trying to say is I would rather this kid not commit, because he is going to end up transferring anyway.

Just think if he wouldn't have canceled his unofficial twice. This thing would be over

You think the late visit hurt us? I do too because it sounds like he just loves OU's defensive staff. It was the LB coach who was able to go in home and flip the script recently.

I think we were behind from the get go and we had to bat 1000 to even have a chance

No, not at all I'm all in favor of later visits I mean look what Bama did this weekend. I was pointing out if he didn't cancel his two unofficial visits to ND. I know one was for the Irish Invansion. Can't think of the other.

On a scale of 1 to NDFister how crazy is it to think Robertson is a silent and BK uses that to sway CK tomorrow?

It's not inconceivable to think that BK wouldn't try everything, so a 3? But it's pretty crazy to think that's a strong selling point and 100% NDFister stupid to think that's the deciding factor which helps him pull the trigger
