Obviously the staff would like to end this, this weekend but Jones told Loy today that there's a chance he pushes back his decision and visits both schools a second time.

Both being us and SC correct. Is Okie State even a player here?

Correct, my bad for not specifying. It's largely believed that Ok St. is not a player. ND/USC

Thanks for clarifying. When is this orginal decision date that he is thinking about pushing back?

I haven't seen a date but I think it's perceived to be shortly after his ND visit as he'll have OV'd to both USC/ND. Loy mentioned if he waited it might be at the UA game.

If he commits to us there that would be awesome. I love seeing players commit to ND at all-american games it brings more attention to the program.

I'd rather have it this weekend and have him call it quits but that's me, lol

Per Loy he looks bigger in person than expected. Like an every down RB, positive. Apparently, Alford has been attached at his hip and the confidence level is very high. Mom is also really digging ND per his sources as well. "He's not going to USC."

If Mommy is on our side, then I don't see him going anywhere else. It was mommy that was wanting him to go to OSU.

Let me clearify that I don't know if that was Mom's quote in fact I don't think it was. I could have posted that in better order. He posted that a source said his mom was really liking ND and that source said "he's not going to USC." Just so nobody thinks it was his mom saying that.

Quite a different vibe, but still huge. His mom is still liking what ND has to offer, and she's the main reason to staying close to home. If she loves it there, then ND should be in very good shape.

He probably would be the 2nd RB at USC behind Justin Davis. They only have 3 RBs under scholarship and it is highly likely to see Allen entering the draft, also Tre Madden is always injured. Anyway, he will touch the ball wherever he goes (USC or ND). I really like him.

Maybe it's the dreads, but he reminds me of Ole Miss's Dexter McCluster back in the day.

It's just the dreads. Very few similarities in their game.

Noting the connection with Alford - and overall importance of Alford to our recruiting efforts - is it a deal-killer with this kid if Tony leaves this off-season for that CSU job?

All-American RB Has "Great" Visit To Notre Dame

Very promising report. Mom loves ND, says that she doesn't care about location any more and has given him her blessing to live away from home. Also mentioned he was considering taking a couple more visits after this, but is probably done now. Might not decide until the his AA game, but will more likely announce a decision within the next two weeks.

He's more like Melvin Gordon, which has me very excited, because this isn't just a physical look or minor comparison, they are almost completely identical in their athleticism, frame and style.

For an NFL analogy, I see Chris Ivory.

Wow. Pulling in a top 10 rb would be fantastic.

Interesting the blessing to move away from home (not to ND). But comments came after visit to ND, not USC.

Hard to not get too excited here.

This is exactly what Coach D on ISD Power Hour said.

I hope Alford stays, he can really connect with the kids.
