Finke will give new meaning to the term 4 for 40 and ESB's gonna himself a 2016-esque evening.

AM comes in with 4-6 grabs for 50.

A lot of folks had concerns about Alize prior to him coming, and more concerns during/after his year off. I love this. I think a lot of folks had him wrong. And I love he's saying it about BK. Not what I would have expected a year ago. Good stuff.

That's why I posted it. Sometimes I get worried about these kids regretting making the hard choice. It would be pretty easy for a kid like Mack to be sour grapes about his career at ND thus far, given his 5 star ranking, that he's not the center of attention offensively, and the suspension. It's nice to see that he took it all the right way and came out still appreciating the opportunity he's been given.

I know he's had a few receptions for us but does anyone else feel like every time he's had a chance to make a big play or help us extend a drive, he drops the ball?

It sucks he has a concussion and I wish him a speedy recovery but I'd like to see his reps go elsewhere until he gets his head in the game.

His physical talents are undeniable but he just doesn't have it yet.

Yeah I dont know what it is with him. Wasnt this the guy catching one handed throws?

Someone tell me if Im wrong but how can a 5'10 CB or 6' safety cover a 6'5 -6'6" TE on a jump ball? Am I missing something? Why arent we doing a LOT more of these? We have two very tall TE in Mack and (sorry Im forgetting the underclassman TE) yet the slowest and least athletic of the TEs (Smythe) is catching the TDs?

He's doing a better job in blocking ironically, but when it comes to passes, I wouldn't mind seeing K Met get one ball thrown his way this year. Mack has shown time and time against drops aren't "jitters", he simply has bad hands/focus. I always thought that was a poor excuse. True freshman come in and catch the ball with jitters, didn't buy it for Mack.

I don't want to be in the playoffs and see him drop 2 crucial passes that cost us. give the freshman a shot, I bet he catches through the "jitters".

When it clicks with him he will be a beast. Not there yet but I can see why he's consistently out there and given a chance-oh the potential.

Speedy recovery.

Speedy recovery for sure. Would love to have him back for Miami if he isn't a go this week. Can never have too much depth.

That's something I forgot to mention. It looks like he's been giving much more effort in the blocking game and he should be recognized for it.

But those drops will kill us in a tight game.

Even if he passes protocol, I wouldn't be surprised if he is held out this week as a precaution.

Agreed. Wouldn't be the worst idea to let the kid heal up a bit, clear his head and be back for the Miami game.

Who needs him? He's buried behind the best all around TE in the nation after last week.

I hope Alize gets rested up and really starts to produce in our last games.

In the interim, I hope Smythe, Weishar, Kmet and Wright get targets this week. It'd be really nice to see our TEs with more catches.

Somewhere deep inside, I hold out hope that Alize will do what O.J. Howard did in the '15 title game and come out of nowhere for a monster game when it matters most.
