I certainly hope he plays well. I would hate for him to play badly and be made the scapegoat for the season. I just hope he doesn't try to do too much in an effort to prove anything and that Chip Long gives him great plays to give him the best chance possible.

All the receivers are in pretty good form so I sense a big improvement in his completion rate (62%).

Pretty descent last home game for Wimbush. I always wanted him to succeed and hope he does well wherever he goes.

Good thing we weren’t trying to come from behind. Way too many blocked passes for my taste. Happy fro BW but doesn’t look even slightly better than before except he was better than average the first half. He ran better last year but the line was also better.

Hope to God Book is back next week. I am convinced 199% now that in Book we trust.

Normally, I am good with people criticizing the mistakes players make, but when ND fans actively boo their own players like alcoholic loser fathers and shout that they suck, I would rather them not be fans of my team. It’s pathetic. So to the guy shouting “You effin suck” after Brandon threw a pick, you will never know what it’s like to lead Notre Dame nor be an athlete of Brandon’s calibre. This young man has been a BIG part of the success of our past two seasons, and I am thankful for his fortitude and class throughout the process. I’ll never forget the way Brandon battled Wake Forest last year like a man possessed. He won me over that game because of how tough he played. Much respect to Brandon and good luck pursuing your goals moving forward!

No doubt, man. Sucks when it’s your own ND fam though. But you’re right, even family need a kick in the ass sometimes.

i've got a huge family (20+ aunts/uncles, 200+ cousins). some are assholes. i've scrapped with some in my younger days lol... there's always someone who can't put things in perspective, even family... mix in sports and it multiplies lol.

I hope Wimbush didn’t hear that. What a great kid. He’s done his best and still accomplished more in college than most folks in America. He seemed really melancholy...even after the win. I suspect he realized that he was on borrowed time after the two picks. Still thankful for his efforts & contributions. Whatever he does next year, he will have me as a fan.

Thanks Brandon! Good luck wherever you go.

I really wish he would switch to RB. His vision and elusiveness are next level. I could see him getting a shot in the pros if he dedicated himself to being a running back. It's clear he just doesn't have it to be a QB.

Really proud of him to come and start yesterday and get the team the win, he made some throws yesterday that we haven’t seen from him yet. Yes he made two bad mistakes but at the end of the day got the team the win. I don’t think he will be back next year where does anyone think he ends up? My gusss would be Penn State?

They have Tommy Stevens who has been in their system and it's his year next year... He has been good at running their offense... Doubt it

Dude is a boss

Brandon Wimbush says it was tough to get benched & not what he expected but then added “obviously we started rolling more on offense & that’s a testament to Ian.”

How many guys would say that in his position? Notre Dame Man.

This. More often than not QBs can be egotistical and don't take the benching very well. He's a true team player, and loved getting to see him wax Florida State on Senior Night last week in South Bend. I hope great things continue to happen for this guy.

I figured we would beat FSU, but I knew we'd be just fine when the introduced him for senior night. He came out dancing, hopping and waving his arms. He was embracing the moment instead of worrying about it.
