Trumbetti is EEing I think so he will count towards last years class...right?

EE'ing has nothing to do with how many we can bring it. Our limit is 85 scholarships. Whether or not kids enroll early does not impact that limit at all.

Right now 24 guys combined with 4 projected 5th years get us to 85 with no further attrition. Obviously things are fluid, so it is subject to change.

Went to Buchanan, but lived in Niles. So I had Berrien Springs surrounded.

Hey Wooly,

So you were a "Buchanan Buck"? Crazy. I had no idea you were from that area. I lived just north of city limits in Niles (James street). My mom still lives there. Graduated from Niles High School in 94'. I was one of those 5'7" starting linebackers (outside), hahaha. Talent is definitely low that area.

I was a Buck. Lived in Buchanan until my sophomore year. Then my folks moved to the neighborhood across the street from the Family Video. I still graduated from Bucktown though. My folks still live there today.

Cool. Went to a couple of the Bucks games in the late 90's. Had a cousin who played for Brandywine. I used to be friends with a guy named Pat Tyler who lived in that neighborhood across from Family Video. Lost touch with him years ago. His family owned a local dealership if I remember right.

I think they should go with 25 this recruiting cycle. With the mass transfers we have had, and with guys coming off major injuries, we need all the talent we can get.

I definately see some transfers this year as well, and with losing--in my opinion-Nix and Tuitt there will be even more space. There is a possibility that Andrew won't be back either.

So, many open spots. Fill the reruits!!!

At the same time, this program can least afford to bring on bodies for the sake of bodies. While Notre Dame has its share of transfers, it can't cut kids like the powers do.

No way Andrew is back. Kinlaw is a better option if shiit really hits the fan.

I would bet a few transfer that are burried deep on the depth chart.

I bet a few take medicals

I say we sign around 27

OVERALL TRAITS
Size-Strength-Speed
Possesses very good height with solid bulk and a lengthy frame that can support additional good mass with time in a college weight program. Displays average strength and initial quickness for size and average to slightly below average top-end speed for size.
Versus the Run
Flashes the ability to fire out low and be able to hold his ground, but needs to watch pad level as he can quickly rise up. Flashes ability to bring his hands and get off blocks, but needs to improve hand usage and upper body strength to extend and when he gets tall and isn%u2019t active with his hands he can give ground.
Pass Rush Skills
Flashes some upside and can try to take a tight path, but lacks the initial burst and ability to bend to win with a speed rush. Needs to develop the use of his weapons and doesn't display the lateral mobility to set up double moves and quickly redirect.
Toughness/Motor
Has good size, but needs to continue to fill out, improve strength and better learn to maximize his tools. Will trail the play at times and can improve angles in pursuit. A drag down arm tackler.
Bottom Line
Williams flashes some good raw tools and possesses some physical upside, but needs to keep developing as a player and physically to get more from his abilities. Could develop as a blocking TE. We don't see an immediate contributor on defense and we feel will need at least a red-shirt.

I know the Tylers well. Small world. They lived two doors down from me.

Makes me think Old Man Mike isn't as old as he portrays himself.

No, it's just you young pups just don't get it. For every "older" person walking around, inside is a kids mind (Kid = anyone 40 and under). You'll understand when you finally get there yourself.

Great pickup. I'm guessing the Mizzou boards and bashing him right now. Probably saying he's afraid to play in the SEC.

congrats to the young man...love his frame

would love to see him grow into a DE, but his flexibility allows him to play a number of different positions.

agreed he's going to need a year or two to work out the kinks, but love that we're building quality depth
