Imagine the size/athleticism combo of him and Okwara on the edges, with Jones and Day possibly in the middle. Lots of talent coming through the pipeline.

If Al-Quadin Muhammad wants to be at #NotreDame banquet next wknd, his calendar will be clear. Bergen Catholic upsets Don Bosco in NJ semis.

Wowww, great for us. Not so great for DBP.

We just really wanted him to be at ND for the banquet. Also figured we'd get a jump start on the holiday spirit by giving Bergen there day in the sun. Scared they were starting to get a complex.

A great kid just lost in the state semi-finals, playing for the last time for a storied program. I'd bet he would rather play next week and miss ND's banquet.

Let's give the kid some room, and some respect.

True. But coming to the banquet will be a needed pick me up for the young man.

My prediction if/when he commits he will be the best player in this class with all due respect to Jaylon.

Really want this guy, hopefully when his voice comes back the first thing he'll say is "I am committing to Notre Dame".

IMO a visit will only reaffirm. I don't think he'll publicly commit until the AAA game no matter what. Still a big deal to get him on campus with the other recruits to seal the deal, though.

I hear ya-but one thing I know about myself is that if I'm excited about a decision that I've made, I want to tell people. If he can keep it to himself-props for him.

I have been so stoked about the D-bigs that ND has been getting (Jones, Hayes, Day, Tuitt, Nix), especially after missing on so many (That NJ dude Trattou (sp?), Hunter). Really like ND's recruiting efforts in this area. reps for all the coaches, staff, administrators of the FB program. The dividend paycheck is already paying out big numbers.

Some kids dream of announcing during an all-american game if they have the opportunity. Isn't this pretty common with Don Bosco kids?

Well...you're certainly entitled to your opinion. I strongly disagree though. I'm probably not the only one.

What has been working for ND this year: hard work first; then leaving it all on the field. All you can ask for is a kid willing to do this, all you can hope for is one who then can perform, as part of a team . . .

It will be great to get all of the recruits together and for them to see this current team and the bond they share. The sense of family and belonging that follows notre dame as well. It is sad for any senior to lose their last game as it breaks everyone's heart, even if you win the championship it's kind of sad because its all over. Hopefully the banquet can cheer him up some and make him want to be a part of the Irish run for years.

you are not the only one nuke... I am a big fan of AQM and I REALLY want him, but no way will I even think about saying he is better than Jaylon Smith. Jaylon is THE STUD of the class.

I hope he is unaffected by any decisions Diaco may make. He is his recruiter correct?

Read on ISD that he might not make it this weekend... so don't plan on him being there.

Also unsure how Diaco situation might affect him... though it's pretty darn clear right now that he has the intent of being part of the '13 class as things stand.

It wasn't a given that AQM would be there this weekend, he wasn't scheduled to be there anyway. It just worked out that it could be possible since they were put out of the playoffs.

Really hoping this kid commits to ND. As a Don Bosco alum, it would be great to see a small pipeline established (eg. Shumate).

When you get the second one it really helps open up the pipeline.
