Thats pretty fucking sweet. Nothing like after being told you will never play again, having the person you've had a hand in maturing, wear you number to honor you.

I don't know what kind of verbal leader Jaylon is or will be in the future, but he certainly has shown through his actions on and off the field that he can be a leader, and I could see him leading this defense in the future for sure. Classy, tough guy, and a great rep for the university!

You have to admit, this kid came in with hype at extremely high levels and has lived up to them and possibly even more considering he has done so much so early and so consistently.

He had a far better season than Teo had his first season. This kid is going to be a legend by the time he leaves ND.

Yeah, I don't think any coaches are regretting their decision to recruit him either.

Jaylon just tweeted his best Darth Vader impression regarding the Diaco to UConn. Hope this doesn't change anything w/ him.

I would think comparing Diaco to Vader would be more of a shot at him for leaving than an indication Jaylon will follow. Dark Side, good vs. evil, Vader dying after trying to turn Luke...

Could just be I've seen the movies too many times, but that tweet didn't concern me at all.

If Jaylon left (which I think is highly unlikely) it would be the biggest meltdown in IE history.

I think that Jaylon Smith not making a freshman aa team is b.s.

I used lower case on purpose as a further protest.

Edit : I have to do this; Can someone clean up this thread? I am tired of reading things that should be in the Columbus thread, circle jerk stuff (Is Waldo a homo?) and other things that could be put elsewhere. I thought player and recruit threads were by an large for that?
