Golson is easily our best QB since we started passing it more than running it. Oh & the relief pitchers dnt get the W's
If you're going to use a baseball analogy, use it accurately. Relief pitchers DO get the W if the team is tied or losing when they enter the game. Give Tommy his due for some of those 2012 games.Oh & the relief pitchers dnt get the W's
Is it?
Why is that?
He has no business getting credit for beating Michigan in 2012.
I don't think that Tommy versus Everett is the point. The tweet that started this conversation lumped EG in with Johnny Lujack, to which I reply "cool yo jets."And Tommy has no business getting credit for beating Miami so it cancels itself out.

Season stats through purwho
62/96 -- 64.6%, 780 yds, 7TDs, 156.9 QBR
29 rushing attempts, 83yds, 4 TDs
If he kept this same pace for the rest of the season
248/384, 3120 yds passing, 28 TDs, 332 rushing, 16 TDs
3452 total yards, 44 total TDs
Just think what his numbers could look like if our receivers were capable of catching a ball.
"While Notre Dame also opened the 2012 season with a 3-0 record, Golson looks like a much better quarterback this time around after spending his suspension working with lauded quarterback coach George Whitfield. In the first three games of his sophomore year, Golson completed 58 percent of his passes for 203.7 yards per game (7.54 yards per attempt) along with five total touchdowns. Through three games in 2014, the quarterback is completing 64.6 percent of his throws for 260 yards per game (8.13 yards per attempt). Oh, and he’s already scored 11 touchdowns, which includes six rushing scores -- two more than his entire 2012 tally." Nutty
Criticism of Golson and this years receivers is pretty unwarranted. It kind of makes me chuckle though. People criticize these kids and they have only gone out and "ripped" with better numbers than any team since the Ara or Holtz eras.
Sure there is room for improvement; that is the whole point!
What is the upside potential of this team?
IMO, Robinson's lacking ideal speed for a WR. He can go after jump balls against anyone, but cannot separate.
I'm with you on Golson criticism. But I think it's fair to call out the WRs IMO. They haven't impressed me.
