I hope this doesn't end badly for Stephon. Regardless of his motives, there are going to be a lot of unhappy people, just like there are for when people do kneel.

To Kneel. I listened to a few different things, I've read until i sleep... Why do people think kneeling in church Is good, yet kneeling for our flag is bad. I'm a realist. I think, I think, I'm wrong... most of the time. When I get over extended I change.

Kaepernick could have changed ideas. He chose different.

Why announce it? That's the part I don't get. Just stand for the flag as that is your right. I think the backlash will be greater because of the tweet, not the action.

Seems simple enough buy sooner or later the media &/or teammates will press for a reason b/c he’s not following the crowd. As someone said earlier, it’s not easy to go against the mob. And these days...mob rules.

Keep crying tears for Kap. No one in America is allowed to stage political protests at work in uniform. All Kap got out of it was a mutimillion endorsement from Nike to play martyr.

What you won't hear from anyone is the absolute hypocrisy of this reality: Nike uses slave labor in China to make products endorsed by Kap and sold to the masses. But yeah...he's an oppressed minority in America. GTFO.

The guy got beaten out by Blaine Gabbert. That’s not good. He had one good season and that resulted in his team playing in the SB. I thought he would keep getting better from there. He didn’t...the League figured him out and he lost his gig to a career back up.

That was when he decided to start the protest where he referred to LEOs as ‘pigs’.

The VP flew to a NFL game with his wife on tax payer dime specifically to walk out when players knelt during the anthem. So this statement is ridiculous.

The purpose of my posts is to point out the hypocrisy of people and posters on here saying oh its great that tuitt is making his point public and he should be commended and i hope he should not receive any negative attention but when kaep did the same thing many people said he was a disgrace, SOB etc

Because many of us who served, or had brothers, uncles or fathers serve, feel kneeling for the national anthem is one of the most disgraceful things to do. I would back him doing any other protest but what he chose to do...IMO... makes him an asshole. He then proved to be an asshole when the league bowed under all of the pressure and created a dedicated workout in front of all the teams to try and get him back in the league. He chose to flex his big ego and move it at the last minute and, when teams didn't go to the new spot he picked, he said it is all their fault and no one ever intended to give him a fair shot. DOUCHEBAG!!
