Not saying this is the case, but often times professional athletes get screwed with child support. There's a possibility that he simply doesn't have the money. Another thing I noticed is that his relationship with the mother is terrible. So this may be a lot deeper than him simply choosing not to pay it.

Kinda where my head was...was thinking the only time those agreements get changed, and in particular financial responsibility is reduced, is when something like this happens...and a judge and lawyers are forced to deal with it right now. Otherwise mom and lawyers just drag it out as long as they can...

Seems like it is at least plausible that's where he got to....

I wish it worked out differently for him. It appears less likely players will wait until their senior years for playing time and then explode with that level of productivity in the current “portal” culture. His ACL tear against BC on senior night was devastating. Glad to see his confidence instead of victim mentality. We should all take note of the display of positivity. Good for Jonas.
