Alums and others should send letters to Pete explaining who they are and telling him that they will not donate to ND if ND does not take a firm stand against this racket, including the ACC.
It was partly bad luck, but we should have put Purdue in between them and then had the bye after A&M. Maybe then the D would have been functioning by A&M.
I read -maybe this is wrong- that they aren't supposed to sabotage ND like this, per the agreement with ND. Maybe that's wrong. In any case, though, the relationship has clearly run its course and it is time to radically change direction.
Nothing about the ACC yet. They are in breach of contractual obligations to ND, but ND can't respond? Pete needs to put the ACC on notice that this relationship is actively harming ND and no longer in our interest, and hopefully the league begins to fall apart.
Our relationship with the ACC is harming the university. Fr. Dowd/AD Pete need to make that clear publicly, and soon. We could have the same relationship with the Big 10, I think.
The committee probably decided what to do before the games yesterday. Does anyone think if Bama lost 42-0 or something the result would have been different? They were going to keep Bama in and flip us.
The selection process has nothing to do with the quality of the teams. It's about satisfying stakeholders. It's amazing that
These people lie like they breathe. Last week ND and Bama were super close, and after Bama gets killed by 21 points they look better vis-a-vis ND? It doesn't make sense...
I think ND tried to maintain its dignity, but this is not a dignified enterprise.
OSU or UGA. I'm glad for IU but I don't want more cooks in the kitchen.
