A&M isn't that good, we just played poorly.

    2025 College Football Playoffs

What's Oregon's argument? What's Ole Miss's argument? Our argument is that we're one of the 8 or 10 or whatever best teams.

When was the last time our first two games were the toughest games of the year?

    2025 WATCH PARTY: WEEK 13

It was just dumb scheduling to play the two best teams at the beginning of the season. Play some cupcake instead of A&M and we're where Oregon is

Marcus Freeman named Dick Corbett Head Football Coach

Some of these coaches must have realized following the BK episode that the grass isn't always greener. And he isn't the only coach who underwhelmed after going from one 'tier 1'-type job to another. Lincoln Riley and Jimbo Fisher are in the same category. You don't have goodwill built up with...

We had 5 turnovers or something the last time we played at Stanford

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Isn't that effectively every playoff venue after the home games? I know they aren't indoors, but it isn't going to be snowing or something in the Rose Bowl or Miami. And wouldn't we be playing OSU in the Rose Bowl in that scenario? Either OSU is some unbeatable juggernaut, or they aren't. If...

'24 CA LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa (Notre Dame Signee)

Sampson said he heard from sources that it was "bad" and that he is likely out for the rest of the season (including playoffs). No details about the injury itself though.

We do seem to have a lot of injuries compared to other teams. Obviously don't follow other teams as closely, so it could certainly be a biased conclusion, but I would like to see data about it. We certainly had more last year than OSU had, at least. At a certain point it isn't just bad luck.

USC should be up by 14 or 21 or something Also, it's not against the law for both Miami and ND to get in

Just focus on making sure we cover (35 iirc but obviously would like to win by more at this point) and avoid injuries.

So both Mizzou and Bama outgained OU? Or nearly outgained if OU moves the ball here?

    2025 WATCH PARTY: WEEK 12

I mean we dominated Pitt last week and didn't move up at all. Odds Miami and OU move up after objectively less impressive wins against similar/worse teams?

The Optimal Notre Dame Scheduling Model

Here is a list of the first two opponents for each team currently ranked in the top 12, with the current CFP rank of the opponent in parenthesis: OSU: Texas (17), Grambling (UR) IU: ODU (UR), Kennesaw State (UR) A&M: UTSA (UR), Utah State (UR) TTU: Arkansas-PB (UR), Kent State (UR) UGA...

    Coaching Carousel

There are many aspects of Louisiana that I admire, and this is not meant to be a political point, but it doesn't have a reputation for "good" (i.e., competent and non-corrupt) government. It's the Illinois of the South.

    Coaching Carousel

I don't think they would drop out if they lost. And it wouldn't be fair to punish the players and the rest of the program because their coach left.

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Again, 1993 called. If the rule is that a team with a head-to-head win must be ranked ahead of the team they beat when they have the same number of losses, then apply that consistently. But it hasn't been applied consistently in the past, so why are we applying it now? And yeah, I know the AP...
