  • Amen...you get it. Ya think the lord meant for me to be a bama fan? Find myself agreeing about life issues far more with a bama fan. But then who would I be if not a slightly insecure, and crazed Irish fan?
    thanks for the reps
...ya ever get the idea parents treat their kids like porcelain dolls...and the kids catch on? I had a pretty strong personality, but I also knew in the scheme of the entire world, I wasn't "a big deal"...I kinda attribute the balance to getting my butt cracked a few times...its a great reminder that you never are as cool as you think you are...I cracked my kids in the butt...I still raise my foot to their rear ends now and again...they seem fine. They also seem to deal with confrontation real well...aren't afraid of much...laugh at idiots, never seem to bothered by anything anyone says...just an approach to raising kids I guess.
likewise...and based on your posts I'll soon even it out...I'm clumsy but I mean well...first neg rep I ever gave, even by accident...
Thanks for the reps, Bishop. Always appreciate the level headed discussions even if we don't always agree.
dude...I think I negged you by accident...what the hell...can't leave technology in the hands of a gorilla with fat fingers now can ya...sorry about that.

    I appreciate that kind of knowledge . . .
Lost my mom (age 51) and her sister (33) and my grandpa (61) to cancer years ago. I'm nine years free and clear. My daughter was my worry. She was 38 and had just had a checkup. Mammogram was fine. A few weeks later she notices a bump. Goes to the doctor and finds out she's already at stage 3! How in the hell does that happen? Went through chemo, double surgery and then radiation. Four years later she's doing great. The thought of losing a child regardless of the age is not a pleasant feeling. That was way more terrifying then when I was told I had it. Tell your wife I said congrats!
You're welcome. Dealt with it more times than I care to remember. Things get put into perspective. Suddenly the little things that irritated the crap out of you, don't even ruffle your feathers.

De nada! You certainly deserved it!
We seem to think about things in a similar manner. I always look forward to reading what you have to say because you usually capture my views in a better tone:). my posting skills are a lot like my golf skills...I can drive a par 4 green, then 4 put...no touch.
When ur friend's team joins a viable conference, then he should comment about schedules. Noticeably absent in every argument he likes to make is the conference schedule itself. Couple that with our opening game each year against a top 10-15 school, and Bama's schedule stacks up much better than 95% of schools out there... including his. But he can beat his drum... it's the only thing he has.
Amen. That's what the Wives thread is all about! It's about commiserating in the lack of rational thought our significant others display, and the fact we can sometimes do nothing but shake our heads and laugh....cause the alternative is far too expensive
I hate the eye test...but lacking much else to go on...I'll take Bama. The only possible thing I can see is if your QB comes out and makes some poor decisions early...hope they start by getting the ball in your playmakers' hands in space and let everyone settle in w/o something bad. If so Bama by 12 or better.
I picked your boys to dominate after their loss...you get in that locker room and tell them not to screw me over...tell Nick I'm BIGGER, and its better they play for me...pulling for them...:)
Yeah, everything's OK. Wife had some minor complications that required a second surgery to repair her incisions and chemo is tough on her, but otherwise all's well. All indications are that they caught it early before it spread and she'll be fine. I had to take a longer leave of absence than expected, but I went back to work this week. How are you? I think you said you had a bout with skin cancer. I hope all's well with you and thanks for checking on me.
Oh geez B, I didn't see that at all... I will say a prayer, stay as positive as possible... I've had a bout w cancer, mindset is a big factor. God bless.
