Does the ND beat ever ask relevant fair questions that require some form of a football answer? The beat has never asked Ash how/when he sees his scheme as having a true nickel corner versus a three safety structure, and for that I am disappointed
Most reporters are not scheme people. They are reporting stories. Unfortunately, some of are scheme geeks when the vast majority are not. Must appeal to the masses.Does the ND beat ever ask relevant fair questions that require some form of a football answer?
I think the theme of questions this week was:
How will you handle a road game in a hostile environment? (conundrum face)
Tell us about Boubacar off the field.
Talk about Kenny Minchey, are you suprised?
How is your team culture?
He was asked about how you handle byu's defensive front packages? (Well done)
I've been watching some of the Matt Campbell pressers the last few weeks after their losses. The PSU beat is relentless right now with tough but fair questions on what is going on.
ND is winning convincingly, so the questions that everyone (maybe just me) would like answered are much more positive in nature than what Campbell is getting. How do you work Bruantae in when he gets back since Luke is playing like an AA? Your third string RB is the highest rated RB in the country, how do you get him more involved especially early in games? You have a kick off kicker that can kick it out of the back of the end zone easily, why are you kicking it short with the goal to stop them around the 20, saving 5 yards best case, that cost you a TD already? Is KVA ready to take on more? etc etc
Many people are more interested in Notre Dame football players as human beings than how we might break down a certain defensive scheme. I don’t really think that’s a bad thing. Most reporters are not scheme people. They are reporting stories. Unfortunately, some of are scheme geeks when the vast majority are not. Might as well continue his holdout. No point in coming back now. From what I have put together.
Notre Dame and Tae had an agreed upon timeline for return.
Tae's agent wants to give it more time.
Hope for the best, assume and prepare for the worst. No update at the press conference, it would seem. Are there any rumblings on ISD or elsewhere as to if he'll be ready for UM?
If he's out this week he ain't playing next week.No update at the press conference, it would seem. Are there any rumblings on ISD or elsewhere as to if he'll be ready for UM?
Why?If he's out this week he ain't playing next week.
Please give Mercke our regardsConfirmed with impeccable source that there is no "hold out" but rather he has repeatedly reinjured this foot and he has not been cleared
that doesnt sound like available in two weeks.Confirmed with impeccable source that there is no "hold out" but rather he has repeatedly reinjured this foot and he has not been cleared
So his rehab has actually made him......worse?Confirmed with impeccable source that there is no "hold out" but rather he has repeatedly reinjured this foot and he has not been cleared
It's that he has broken this foot a bunch of times, so it's a recurring injury, not that he broke it again after Week 1. And yeah idk but you could probably put some of this on the shoes and training staff because it's not normal to chronically be breaking your foot, doesn't even make sense. So his rehab has actually made him......worse?
What in the world is going on in the Athletic Training Dept?!
Also, I call for a full investigation into the role that substandard UA equipment might be playing in our guys getting/remaining injured. Let's find something to breach that contract and go get some real $ from Nike or Adidas.
Probably the risk of being a big time athlete? Can't just lay around like a normal person. Gotta stay somewhat active. It's that he has broken this foot a bunch of times, so it's a recurring injury, not that he broke it again after Week 1. It’s the same foot he broke a few years ago IIRC. I hate that for him b/c he came into this year with some high draft grades. It's that he has broken this foot a bunch of times, so it's a recurring injury, not that he broke it again after Week 1.
