ND is in a unique situation offensively with a QB who has complete freedom to make adjustments as he sees fit. That rarely happens at this level. Denbrock and CJ are very well in sync. I think a lot of fans expectations are way too high. They aren't going to be perfect 100% of the time on either side of the ball and that's players and coaches alike. That's just not realistic. Play calling requires processing a lot of pertinent information in a short period of time. Down, distance, field position, time on the clock, score, weather etc. It's certainly an imperfect science. Games have ebbs and flows. I'm confident every week.

Different QBs for sure, but all those guys could win with their legs. Bear is a decent QB, and can hurt you with his arm, but he needs his legs to complement that.

I think ND is going to implement a plan similar to how they treated Colton Joseph week 1, and do everything they can to take away Bear's legs and make him beat them with his arm. We'll see if he can.
