I thought the same thing when I saw that tweet. It’s almost the opposite, I don’t care if it’s Rico Flores if someone is clearly playing man that tight on a slot WR, that ball has to be thrown.

I get what Pete was saying. “Intentional” as in forcing the play call itself to get Greathouse involved, not forcing a bad throw to get it there.

That’s great placement, and I’m sure Pete knows it was by design.

His error would be in assuming they wouldn’t have checked to that regardless of who was on the outside on that play.

Mike brought up during this interview 4 local media members who seemed to have it out for Weis. Weis didn’t deny it. Anyone know who these writers were?

Like seriously...it's not a Top 10 in age, but it's been around since 1949! That's a pretty damn long time, and it's been around so long that they had to replace it I think because they ran out of room to write the scores on it!
[EDIT] Scratch that, it's been replaced twice because it filled up with scores!

The Notre Dame fanbase has an abnormal fear/obsession with two things I don't see as much in other fanbases:
1. Rain
2. How many visiting fans are in our home stadium

These two topics cause an unusual amount of wailing and gnashing of teeth in our fanbase.

In real time I had no idea what they were even trying to do with the celebration, but watching it back it seems they were trying to start a chainsaw and then they all started dancing on the 3rd pull. Which to be honest was pretty funny watching Carr and the O lineman get in on it.

I’m sure Marcus will reinforce that they haven’t won shit yet and they don’t want to jeopardize their hopes for something bigger. Probably a real tough balance being a player’s coach and having them play free and have fun but also keeping them grounded.
