The team plays with violence and it's beautiful.
Through 2 games:
Williams: 0.82 Yards Before Contact per Rush
James: 1.08 Yards Before Contact per Rush
Last year:
Love: 2.40 Yards Before Contact per Rush
Price: 2.08 Yards Before Contact per Rush
YBC is often presented as an OL stat. I think it’s as much a RB stat especially when you have two backs with relatively the same usage. Theoretically one back is not getting a different OL (over a larger sample size to be fair) than the other. It therefore can be used to reflect the vision of the RB.
How do our current year averages compare to other contenders?

Probably not that telling but 1.5 is where I would generally draw the line as fine/average
Agree on Burress having him and Faison out there at the same time would cause problems for defensesIt was nice to see Greathouse get more involved and Gilbert catch a touchdown. Keep working on the running game. Very solid performance overall.
On Shuler’s forced fumble, why is that head coach immediately asking for a targeting call? He’s a massive bitch for that. Freeman should’ve dropped 100.
I’d like to see Burress get more time with the 1’s. He showed a bunch of wiggle and YAC ability.
I can’t believe him comp was Kyren Williams. Not even close.Williams seems like a good utility back. Pretty good at everything. Not great at anything.
Purely speculating, but I think it was b/c the ball carrier (#5) was visibly shaken up after that hit so the HC instinctively assumed he took a head shot from Shuler. Replay looked pretty clear that Adon lead w/ his shoulder. Credit the refs for not delaying the game to review it b/c the HC of Rice was lobbying hard for a targeting call & there was plenty of time to halt play between the Traore scoop & score and the XP.It was nice to see Greathouse get more involved and Gilbert catch a touchdown. Was there any postgame update on Lambert? (or any other injuries).
Late second quarter the broadcast said he was helped off the field and I doubt he was going back in either way. But if he got hurt that’d be a big loss.
There was one in the UW - WASU game with 4 min left in the 4th.Has anyone seen a targeting get called yet this season?
Ran a gimmicky offense, notorious for going turtle against better teams. Game passed him by ~2011.Does Bin Laden know ball?
How many snaps did Mylan Graham get today?
I don't remember seeing him at all.
??
Really? I thought he flashed, and am really excited to see how he develops the rest of this year.
He looked good when in. Almost also made an incredible catch going up high over the middle, and luckily didnt end up with a broken rib or two instead.Mylan Graham recorded 2 receptions for 24 yards
Flashed?
If we are gonna want to be a 50/50 team running and throwing then we need Walton to be RB1. There just isnt any juice with Williams. Also it was nice to see Greathouse have a solid day and the young WR’s get touches.
Damnit Sampson...you're the king of the jinx
Need to be able to run the ball on these teamsThe running game was ok. Everything else was otherwise graded out near perfect.
Just keep playing fast, violent and protect the ball offensively.
I don't really get what people are expecting in terms of stat lines. CJ Carr had 16 total completions on Saturday. There are four primary WRs... not counting passes to RBs/TEs you wouldn't expect anyone to really have more than 2-4 catches. Same thing with Gilbert Week 1, who I also thought looked really good in his limited opportunities, Graham looked fast and had a really good catch on the sideline, and he was getting open consistently whenever he was on the field.Mylan Graham recorded 2 receptions for 24 yards

Agree I think Graham will have 2-3 games where he gets over 100 yards this year but hopefully by the last 3rd of the season he's putting up 50-60 yards a game we should be happy with that. I think right now he's probally the 4th option out of guys .I don't really get what people are expecting in terms of stat lines. CJ Carr had 16 total completions on Saturday. I think Faison will be consistent. What I expect to happen as the season progresses is there being a different WR who steps up every week based on matchupsI don't really get what people are expecting in terms of stat lines.
