I read that post and didn't understand the comparison between miami and wiscy myself for this game.......
^^THIS^^ he's been outcoached everytime.... I was in strong opposition for him to be ND coach. I can remeber Fickell being the #1 candidate after bk left.... Freeman was considered 3 or 4 if I remember right. Matt Campbell, Day and Rees were all in the mix too....
I do not believe there is any way the d will be as good week 1 as it was at the end of last season.
Why?
Off season rust. Everyone tackles bad week 1.
That’s to be expected right? First time in live action where no one is holding back. I do expect them to be very good for game 1.

ND is deep on D… I expect wiscy to run the ‘quick’ offense up front. But at some point, they will have to sub and when they do, the depth of the ND ‘D’ will help. Not to mention even if wiscy run the ‘O’ fast, it will still give time for the defense to adjust… specifically due to the D-backs and linebackers available. Ash was hesitant the first three games last season…. I deem he knows what he has now and will use it to the Irish advantage.

Given when it happened, I think he will, but I would also completely understand if he didn't.
It will be Monday 9.30am here, but I am going to start drinking heavy at 7am then drive as fast as possible to work at 9am and put up the do not disturb sign and start posting in anger at 9.50am.
