Knapp definitely was cramping up and had to come out of the Miami game at times. I'm pretty sure he was the only one, though, and he might've also been battling a bug, too

I am not saying he doesn’t deserve this but I am curious how exactly do they pick the nominees for this?

This much harder to determine the watching the LB’s.

How much do NFL guys actually get paid in S&C? And how important of a role do they actually play? I feel like most of them dudes got their own trainers

To me this would be kinda fucked up to leave now. Like it’s one thing for Washington to leave, the HS visits mean little and it is the off-season. Landow is basically in season right now. Winter workouts he is spearheading. If he’s about to take a new job in two weeks I would have hoped to have gotten ahead of this instead of have the players deal with an abrupt change

It looks like Kubiak is most seriously a candidate for the Raiders. Why would you leave Notre Dame to go work for the Raiders? Maybe he should talk with Del McCullough first.

I have to imagine he has a connection with Kubiak's dad. Former coach in Denver

Sure. Just seems like Oakland is, um, dubious job security. And he has a very good job at Notre Dame, probably for as long as Freeman is there, at which point if Landow wants to go back to the NFL, he'll probably have an in with his current boss.

If the pay is equal, or similar I would think the NFL wouldn't be as attractive. With the college players you can see the fruits of your labor over 2-4 years where as the NFL, they have pretty much peaked so it's more maintaining and fine tuning.

Most NFL players have their own training coaches too. A lot of people to deal with.

Not sure what happens, but it feels like assistants are just taking jobs. There was no warning on Mickens or Washington. Seems like when there's a rumor that they end up staying.

To you, me and the rest of the public there wasn't.

This stuff doesn't just happen. For fans, yeah, it comes as a shock. Freeman's Gug is really good about things not leaking, so there has undoubtedly been news that has come out of nowhere on us. That doesn't mean everyone in that building and on that campus were oblivious to it.

If Landow does leave, I'd hope that Dave Ballou gets a call from Coach Freeman.
