Team America World Police - now paying in our hemisphere! I don't like it just like I didn't like the bombing of Iran last year. Really DGAF about the void left in Venezuela as it was a disaster from the start. Seems like a low cost way to unseat some Russian, Chinese, Iranian influences close to home.

Venezuelan oil production is 30% off their peak - bringing that even halfway back over the next few years will make a lot of money and pressure middle east/Russia as oil prices struggle to stay over $50/barrel, IMO. Heavy crude displacing Canadian in our Gulf refineries - yeah middle finger to them too. High ROI maneuver - whatever despot takes Maduro's place will be our despot. Really don't like it but makes a lot more sense than playing in the hills of Shitcanistan.

Congress doesn't want to be accountable or go on the record for things. We've neutered on of our checks and balances and have unelected people who are not accountable to the public making policy decisions. They delegated the legislative branch to the alphabet agencies and President long-ago. Congress has been reduced to appropriations bills, post offices, and judges.

Not what I said. I said there’s a threshold for where I think it is necessary. Short operations are not war. 20 years in Afghanistan? Sure. 2.5 hours in Caracas? No

I was asking a follow up question for clarity on your stance. And it's not 2.5 hours in Caracas. If that was the case we wouldn't be running the country.

Regardless, the narco-terror shift to oil is such BS. However, the influences of Russia/China/Iran/and Cuba being thwarted in this hemisphere is a positive.

Gonna need a place to relocate all those Floridians who will be displaced due to Florida being under water because of sea level rise caused by the melting of Greenland's glaciers due to the burning of fossil fuels for data centers to allow for AI to make deep fake porn and bitcoin mining.

Would be very on brand for this administration.

I applaud their foresight to make the Greenland purchase then. It's good to see an administration thinking to the future and not the present!

That said, it looks like I need to make new arrangements for retirement...and maybe I need to quit with the deep fake porn for a brighter tomorrow.
