I just want to leave all of you with the 18 year olds, first time away from home. I knew some, and maybe the reason they didn't b1tch and moan was because they were more concerned with staying alive.

The most important point in any of these posts is the comment someone made about quitting. Once you start . . .

Those that I saw quit in my earlier days, usually had given up on more than what was at hand, and they usually had unexpectedly had reached their peak. It is amazing how many times diminished ego gratification results in quitting behavior. Not exactly the kind of guy I want watching my back . . .

There is always the game each yr almost every big recruit goes to; last yr it was USC this yr it will be UM. Guys from all over the Midwest like Elmer will be there plus are top guys like Rochell

Also I don't think a loss would shake isaac, seems to like ND for everything outside football

Agree. And I think already having 10 solid kids committed with 6 of those being from the Midwest will help ND here. Even if there is a big group of ucommitted visitors for the Michigan game, ND will have a presence with them.

Yeah, I laughed when he said this on the power hour. He said his dad also thinks ND is the perfect fit for him for academics, football and tradition. Having the parents in our corner plus him having ND far out front bodes very well for us.

i can see guys like elmer and zaire using the michigan game as an unofficial so they can keep coming up and recruiting kids as the year goes on...maybe even onwualu. those three are the gus we need up there recruiting.

Has there ever been a high caliber player (from any part of the country) to lean as heavily towards ND as Isaac has, and then not pick ND?

This kid has been extremely public about ND being the leader (and it's not even close) for quite some time. I can't imagine him not signing with the Irish, but I'm sure crazier things have happened...

Wasn't there a recently departed from the program DE, thats mom was really big on him going to ND....just sayen I don't care if the parent so much want him to go. I want him/any recruit, to come for themselves and in this case I think Isaac wants to come to ND himself.

Two different varieties of fruit . . . This kid is a completely different cut of cloth than the last one. This one the parents are facilitatiors, making sure their man-child makes the right decision for himself, one that he can live with. The last one, I just got the feeling there was a more, you won't screw my kid over and a my this is all overwhelming aspect than a objective research, organized approach. In fairness it is so much easier with two parents than it is for a single parent.

But with Isaac you will hear no stories of coaches exploiting him, pulling the wool over his eyes and have no last minute hijinx. That should have been enough of a warning. With Isaac you get smooth temperment, personal discipline, and much more maturity and mental toughness.

Thank you for the long diatrabe setting me strait, but at the end of my post I mentioned I belive Isaac wants to come here for himself. I think if/when Isaac commits it is for good and he will be Irish all the way into the pros!

His talent and being from the south, this would be a huge pick up for the Irish! Getting Isaac and Jaylon Smith to commit would be 'prime' for the Irish defense!
