So I'm just trying to wrap my head around who might be our top targets with reciprocal interest for the remaining spots. Below is what I came up with, but I'm positive I've forgotten a lot of people. Also, I'm not exactly sure who would end up at OLB and who would end up at DE.

RB (1):*Green/Isaac
WR (1): Quick/Robinson/Treadwell
TE (1): Henry/Heuerman (or Matuska fills this spot if we don't land one of these two)
DE (1): Rochell, Sherit, Muhammad
DT (1):*Munger/Latham
ILB (1): Mastrogiovanni/Chans Cox
OLB (2): Jaylon Smith, Alex Anzalone, Randolph, Drennon
CB (1): Willis/Barnwell
S (1): Max Redfield/McQuay/Byrd

Also, I realize that the master list is a much more comprehensive list than this, but I'm just trying to break it down for the sake of simplicity

Good effort. This list is not bad at all. I have some very slight corrections to quantities and names. It's a safe assumption we'll take somewhere between 21 and 23 guys in this class and have 10 currently signed up... which is so far ahead of where I thought we'd be that I'm ecstatic... but anyways that leaves 11 to 13 spots open.

RB (1):*Green/Isaac -> This is accurate. We'll push hard for one of these guys but it's unlikely we'd push for both. RB truly is a bit of a luxury for us.
WR (1): Quick/Robinson/Treadwell -> Maybe throw some other names into the mix here as well, but yeah we'll aim to take 1 more guy.
TE (1): Henry/Heuerman (or Matuska fills this spot if we don't land one of these two) -> We'll absolutely push for a TE. If Huerman goes to OSU (which I personally think he will) then it will be highly likely that you see other names pop up on our board. I strongly doubt Matuska comes over to this spot. Passing on McNamara last year was a huge mistake.
DE (1): Rochell, Sherit, Muhammad -> I wouldn't be surprised to see us take 3 more total "bigs" depending on transfers, attrition, etc. We might take a 5th OL or a combo player or another DL that we like. But all things considered I expect us to take 3 total DL (including Matuska) like you have unless we have transfers or early leavers... and if that's the case expect 4+.
DT (1):*Munger/Latham -> See above.
ILB (1): Mastrogiovanni/Chans Cox -> We are absolutely targeting 4 LBs. Need to increase this quantity to 2.
OLB (2): Jaylon Smith, Alex Anzalone, Randolph, Drennon -> Good. Anzalone is a flexible LB prospect.
CB (1): Willis/Barnwell -> Need to add Luke Cole here... very low chance with either Willis or Barnwell. We'll definitely target another CB.... expect new names to pop up.
S (1): Max Redfield/McQuay/Byrd -> Add Lawrence here. We'll see what happens at S we might not take anyone here depending on how kids from last year's class look once they get on campus.

So basically need to add 1 more to LB and need to (probably) add 1 more "big". WR/S/CB are going to be very interesting to watch... as will TE if Huerman goes to OSU as expected. Numbers and names at those positions may fluctuate greatly.

Figured we'd give this thread a little bumpski with the B&G game coming this weekend. Anyone hearing any positive news regarding recruits and this weekend? I thought Jaylon would, but he's not coming anymore so who is likely next?

Staff must love him to take over Dorian. Btw I miss this thread ...

I think a big part of it is also fit. Montelus likely projects as a guard. I believe Dorian projects as a tackle and we have some excellent tackle prospects already signed up.

I'm really interested to see what happens here. I wonder how hard our staff will push for him. Wish I had some inside scoop. I know we originally intended to take only 4 guys but with only taking 2 OL last cycle 5 makes sense for sure... especially if it's the right 5. Is Montelus that last piece of the puzzle/the ideal capstone player in the staff's eyes? Because this is the rare situation where it's OK to wait on that "perfect fit" type player.

Dorian was a guard on his tape. Fastest pulling G I have ever seen. Made me want him at DE. But staff obviously knows better than me.
Watched again and is a tackle, but they ran an overbalanced set to his side

Montelus is the #2 guard on scout, 247 though they have a guard category (Bosch is the #1 guard :/ )it is used far less than the tackle category

This is a good point. It's definitely going to be interesting how it's played out. Either way, I'm impressed by this OL haul. Going to be a solid line for the next few years if they all pan out.

4 star OT out of CA

One offer

Has interest

Do you think he only has one offer because he committed to UCLA over a year ago, or do you think the sites only list him having one offer because they stopped tracking him once he committed over a year ago?

Or I guess it could be possible he just hasn't really earned any other offers, but that'd be weird.

I just did a quick google search and all the sites I looked at only had the UCLA offer. I'm thinking he only has the one.

Erik Bunte 2011 Junior Highlight - YouTube

Here is his Jr video. Something that I noticed that I'm not too keen on is that he doesn't bend at the knees when he is blocking someone. Seems to come off the line with his head down and bent at the hips. DL at the next level will shed this very easily. The kid is listed at 6'7" and 320# though. Big kid.

Does anyone know if Montelus could play DL? Is he considered Big Skill, or just an OG?

To be honest I think ND is better not having someone pop at the spring game. Let the already verbaled kids get to know each other and then they will take care of themselves. No offense to any of the uncommitted kids visiting, but there are better options and right now ND can wait the kids out that will be visiting.

Here, here.

I'm not all for popping just for the sake of popping. However, if the staff wants him and he wants in, by all means, do what you gotta do.

I'd like to gather some momentum from this game-maybe a chance to solidify but also a few new verbals would be nice.
