I feel you pain but sadly this is what it's going to be every season until 1 steps up and takes the job from all the other qb's.....

I'd like to see Hendrix take the reins but if he still can't grasp the offense that could be a real issue....

When i see Rees and Hendrix taking snaps with the ones today. It makes me believe Hendrix is a step ahead of Golson and Kiel. Golson accuracy issues seem to be a problem. The flashes Hendrix showed in the Stanford game were great. Prister and Sampson who are pretty looped into the program think its 11 and 12 ahead of 1 and 5. IF Rees was the starter BK would have already said it. I believe BK is looking for a replacement and in all honestly what does Hendrix have that Golson doesn't? Hendrix has the experience and i know you all love arm strength BK has said plenty of times Andrew has the strongest arm he has ever coached.

Hendrix is not the answer. If he were he would have played more last year and he wouldn't be jump on the spring ball depth chart by a RS Frosh who has never seen any game action.

I think the reason BK stuck with Rees last year is because he knows Hendrix is not the answer...and between the two TR gave us a better chance to win (debatable). EG's RS wasn't going to be wasted last year.

And if Golson was the answer dont you think he would have played? I remember all of you loved Hendrix during the Stanford game and some of you wanted him to be the starter?

Who was the big man who blocked out Lynch in the video? It was really impressive.

Also that cut by Riddick on the long run at the end of the video was amazing.

Jackson looked really good in coverage.

Collins worth looks really strong in the 1 v 1's.

Kap was demolishing whoever he was going up against.

Entire D-line looked really solid in the rodeo drills.

That be Tate Nichols....our future RIGHT TACKLE!!!!!! Looks like his development has really turned him into a player ready to make an impact!

No I don't, not by the time of the year it was completely evident that TR wasn't the guy. By that time it would have been foolish to waste a red shirt. So BK had two options...Rees and Hendrix. He felt Tommy gave us the best chance to win...or else he would have made Hendrix the starter then.

I agree i thought he had flashes of something great against Stanford... but still the concern looms about his inability to understand the playbook..... maybe you can shed some light on this question.... What i've been really thinking about is...... Mentally is Hendrix where Tommy was last season? or is he still behind? because we know Tommy has the edge with the playbook but I'd take Hendrix if he is where Tommy was last season.... his physical ability will compensate for what his head lacks....

Not Springman, he is #69. I assume he is a walk-on as no scholarship player is listed at #67 on the roster.

Thanks i wasn't sure if they may have taken Hegarty or Hanratty over to defense...

No i am sick of switching quarter backs every year. Hendrixs job to lose right now and it will be his till he graduates.

I'm sick of having subpar quarterback play. It's the first week of spring practice, I really don't think Kelly is putting as much into Hendrix taking 1st team reps as you are. There is a long way to go until fall and Golson/Kiel are going to get every opportunity to take this job in my opinion.

This is just my opinion, and not a jab at yours, but if we are going to have mediocre QB play I would rather have it be because of inaccuracy than lack of talent. If Golson throws a couple more picks than Hendrix, but the W/L is the same. Give me Golson and the high ceiling he provides. A couple of good plays in a game we lost is not enough for me to feel like Hendrix offers more upside than Golson or Kiel. I would even go as far as saying (i'm sure this doesn't surprise anyone) that if Kiel looks the most talented through spring, lets not mess around with playing a less talented player at QB. We haven't won enough games as of late to be concerned about preserving eligibility. Get the most talented guys on the field.

I'll root for any of them though.

67 is Kevin Carr. I lived in Knott last year and he was a frosh. Apparently Harvard wanted him for fball.

New practice report on UND is up for those that didn't know. Love the Rodeo drill they do, and was really impressed with Jarrett Grace and pleasantly surprisingly Ishaq Williams.

saw Ishaq as well, he looked pretty good, even when he messed up on that one drill, he still did pretty well, but he easily had the best tackle in that drill... I think the RB lost yardage on that one...

Btw, some of you are really flipping out about the QB issues right now. Hendrix isnt the man because blah blah blah, Golson looked terrible, he is done, blah blah blah. Its the 3rd practice in spring, first with pads. Calm down, each player will be getting better.

Coach Kelly is still at the early stage where he puts the vets in there first. Rees vet-1, Hendrix vet-2, Golson vet-3, Kiel rookie.

Quit over-analyzing meaningless things. Gives the rest of us brain-rot.

Agree! I can't wait for the spring game because I am thinking BK will give all 4 quite a bit of reps unlike last year with DC and TR only taking a few. I expect to have somewhat of an idea on where they all stand post spring (duh). Hopefully Kiel does well enough to stay in the race going into August. He can learn a lot about the playbook over summer. I also am looking for Rees to throw 2 picks and get bumped to the bottom heading into fall. Already requested off for the game lol.

Saw pics on SB tribune of Tommy's long run looks like Ishaq was at OLB, Brown was at CB, and Salvi was at S

Ishaq barely missed and tripped and Brown and Salvi just horribly blew coverage

Normally a big play occurs because the defense blew a coverage or messed up. No matter if it is 1st team or 3rd string.

Should it be anything to get excited about? Probably not but still cool he did it.

Golson and Kiel don't have a shot at the QB job IMO. It's Hendrix or Rees, hopefully Hendrix if we want to make a bowl game next year.
